Here's a shot of mine at the moment, after I lowered the shoulder bells to make him a little less broad. That tunic is definitely a pain to futz with though once you remove the pleats, with all the extra material in there. I'm seriously tempted to take it apart, trim it down, and resew it into something much more manageable.

And here he is with my new Sandtrooper for company. :) Although I can't decide if they look better in the detolf with the backdrop or without.

How did you lower the shoulder guards? Looks pretty good. Might try to lower mine a tad. Depending on just how much it alters the figure.

It connects in the front, basically just a tiny pin that goes in a hole. Mine comes undone every time I mess with the figure.

Completely removable. Just be careful with the connecting peg

Sweet thanks guys :hi5:

When I opened mine last night the belt was actually already unclasped out of the package. The dome wasn't attached to his head either on mine so I glued it back in place. I swapped the cod piece and chest box with the ANH but not sure I like the box so I may put the original one back on. Still undecided bout the tunic. I know it is film accurate on top but it does look better underneath.

Really torn on this guy. Love everything but the legs just seem really skinny to me, where as ANH, after trimming fat suit out, looks a little better. But definitely a great figure to hold in hand. After playing around for a hour or so last night, I'm really glad I picked him up as mixing the two figures really will give a perfect pre-Empire Vader.

I still see the pleats whether they are cg, reshot or not

I posted this source from YT a while ago in 720p before they yanked it off

And for the person that wondered if the chest armor was supposed to stick out. We can clearly see at least in RO. It does

It's debatable but for me they're just natural creases. Even in ANH there are some scenes where natural creases can give the illusion of pleats...

Everything is rogue one apart from chest plate and knacker armour ANH
Helmet been lowered and nose mod the pleats just come out in 2 seconds by pulling them.

Nice shots:clap

One thing I'm kinda surprised by is how dark the gun metal is on the helmet, to where it almost looks like the entire thing is solid black. I'm wishing they had made that a bit brighter so you'd have more contrast there.

I'm also thinking those gloves are a little too glossy (even for a shiny Vader). Think I might try dulling them down a bit like Jazz did to make them look more like leather instead of plastic.

What's with the clinched fist up anyway? That is usually the sign of victory.

Even in video game mode, Vader failed. The plans still got away. :lol

I just assumed he's using his fake robot arm to block any stray blasts from hitting what's left of him that's still real. [emoji23]

I agree. I don't think there were actual pleats in the RO costume, just folds to get it to look right. And I agree with what you say about his appearances in the OT where there are scenes with what looks like pleats, and those without them. That's the problem HT faced. Making a figure based on the few promo pics/story boards/conceptual drawings they were given. They had to make decisions, and probably wanted it look different enough to entice buyers to buy another version (while the ANH version was still available) whether correct or not. I'm just confused on some decisions, like weathering the chest and belt boxes while on the ANH version they were clean, and making another lightsaber hilt that more resembles ESB rather than just using the ANH version again. The end scene was done in reshoots, so they probably were told he was in a few cameos here and there like Disney originally hinted at, which would justify a nice clean shiny armor like the helmet (again confused why the weathered belt and chest box?).

This should've just been a quick release of a movie promo version. Same figure without all the electronics, and thus why they re-did the gloves. Anyway, all these changes will add up to a nice looking ESB version.

I took it to be a hand gesture that helps him concentrate when using the Force.

I'm fairly certain Vader clenches his fist when force pulling objects. Not to be confused with "throwing" them, lol. I think he does so right as a rebel trooper goes flailing past him from the direction of the camera.

Yes... rebels are merely inanimate objects to Lord Vader. Lmao.
