One thing I'm kinda surprised by is how dark the gun metal is on the helmet, to where it almost looks like the entire thing is solid black. I'm wishing they had made that a bit brighter so you'd have more contrast there.

I'm glad it is dark. It supposed to look black on screen and the two tone was just done on the prop for lighting.

I'd love to get one of those as well, but most of the time the blade is just way too short for my taste. Although that one looks like it might be a better length...

Yeah, I like the look of those sabers but the nib and the too-short thing always makes me hesitate.

Maybe, but it's still one of those things that I think really helps with the likeness and gives it more of that essential Vader feel.

With both the ANH and the RO facemask, there's something slightly off in the HT sculpt (the "fox/insect" issue,) so the more razzle-dazzle the helmet has via high-gloss, the better it looks. So not sure if brighter gunmetal would hurt or help the likeness.

It's still a great piece, but I was amazed how unimpressive the ANH facemask was when I first got it in-hand, especially under flat or natural light. To me the RO looks way better because the gloss pulls your eye in all directions, especially under harsher Detolf type lighting.

How does it light up? Battery?

It's a separate battery that fits directly into the handle, so I have the battery out when I'm not lighting it up. He told me that battery life is somewhere around 30 hours I think.

Is that the latest version or first? I picked up some force lightening from him too that's pretty cool along with the first run of sabers. Just haven't grabbed a Palpatine yet to use with.

It's a V1. The only other kind of red saber he was selling at the time aside from the Darth Maul double-bladed type.

I’ve been reading this thread since the beginning and looking to all your pictures. So glad to have preordered this guy in time, looks terrific in all ways.

I got my invoice this Monday from V-Store, so I suppose mine should arrive in a couple of weeks.

I took the linen out of the tunic so the material is not as bulky but
I wouldn't advice anybody to do it because it was a pain the arse to do
and it doesn't make much difference really lol
