Finally sideshow or hot toys anh better cod piece. I have sideshow from my deluxe wanted to know if hot toys anh fits rogue one cause the stock rogue one is terrible imo

:lol

There should be a clip there, where those two metal dots are, though those studs look a tiny bit closer together than on mine.

The boxes look like RO. Hard to say about the belt for sure but that looks like the spot where the hook would be. Did it fall off in the box maybe?

I think the ANH HT cod piece might be best, but may need a touch of padding (under the suit in that region) since the Rogue One is so much thicker.

Hi guys,

I've been looking into getting this guy, and seems like the price has shot up quite a bit. For the same price, would you guys rather have this one or the ANH version? I'm personally leaning towards this one, as I feel the robe is a bit more tidy (nice and pleated), and the gloves aren't as tough to deal with. The backdrop and other stuff are cool, too.

Sounds like you already made the choice to me.

I went with the ANH body. I feel the R1 can hold some really strong poses, but the more accurate height of ANH won out.

I would agree.

Passed on R1 Vader.
You all realize this is just the warm up for the ESB release?

Do you guys think i should have my RO vader doing the splits? I feel like thats a feature, being as his side to side movement is so loose.

Heh that is what I keep telling myself...but RO has so many positives. It is out now, it is at a $250 price point. When/if an ESB Vader is done by HT I doubt it will be $250 and IF they preview it this year, maybe released in 2019?!
I also passed on this and the RO Stormie for hopes of an ESB version.

I just hope they bring ESB Vader out soon..... would be super nice to add a Bespin style accompaniment to go with the Bespin Luke

I'll be happy with that :lsvader

I'm with you here! but my skepticism feels he is a couple years away...I hope I am wrong!!!

Just wanted to check if there's any positives about the ANH that I might've missed, as that version seems easier to find than this one.

The ANH is still a great looking figure and people have gotten some amazing results with it. And all it takes is just moving the belt and codpiece up to improve the look considerably.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is how easy it is to slide the belt boxes on the Rogue One Vader. You can slide them around and get it as close to the buckle as you want without removing the belt and with no fear of damaging anything.

It's true, ESB Vader is coming and it's the one people are clamoring for. If you go by RO Vader (which admittedly does reuse a lot from ANH), the wait from announcement to release was less than 4 months. If they announce it during he summer, we could have ESB Vader by the time VIII releases..

I'm going to enjoy RO Vader in the meantime, and then add ESB Vader with my Bespin Luke for the ultimate pairing. You can't have enough Vader. :)
