Vader's saber hangs from a D ring on the emitter facing up so the saber is on there correctly.

Not strictly pertaining to MMS388, but one cool thing you can do with the RO shoulder armor, because of that big-ass neck hole, is fit the Hasbro Titanium Rebels head on (with some mods to the head, of course).

Hi guys,

I’ve read every single post of this thread so far and I’m really thankful for all the information provided.
However, I have a dilemma and I need your guidance.
I already own the Deluxe Vader Sideshow, which I am not 100% happy with due to the helmet, inner suit material and Sideshow body.
I passed on the ANH Vader from Hot Toys since it didn’t convince me at the time(gloves, body and cape draping) however this RO Vader looks (most) impressive.

Here is my question, for both Deluxe and RO versions owners, is it worth selling my Deluxe and buying this RO Vader instead? I’d like to have “in-hand” opinions since I already took a look at some comparison pictures previously.

Since the Yoda and Snowtrooper are already on pre-order, I'm also wondering if there is a chance that an ESB line will soon be released or not. In such case, waiting for an ESB Vader might also be an option...

Get rid if your SSC deluxe Vader. He is terrible. That's all I can say after having him. Now I have ANH.

I sold a few days ago my Sideshow Deluxe Vader to get the Rogue One after seeing pics here. Not a doubt in my mind.

I think they did short supply on the similar to ANH figures (standard looking stormies and Vader).

From what I can tell, the Death Troopers, shoretrooper, chirrut, Jyn, and K2 are probably in bigger supply. I guess we'll see as some of those get closer to release.

I just opened it. Indeed an amazing piece, better than I thought. I think it’s almost perfect just out of the box and fits greatly in my new cabinet. 100% satisfied with the purchase, this will be the first and definitive Vader for me.

A chance, yes, but I'd say it's slim. I wouldn't expect it.

I got mine and I love it. I moved the robe over the armor and that's it, no other futzing. He looks amazing straight out of the box. I've had zero QC issues. My leg armor pieces fit fine, the cape is insanely beautiful.

The kicker is I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, I mean I like it I grew up with it. Heck I saw the ANH when I was 7 in the movie theaters and had the Kenner toys the whole nine yards but as an adult I never collected anything SW related.

Then I saw the pics for this figure and I had to get him. Funny thing is I pre ordered him from Mid Town Comics because everyone was sold out - still nabbed mine for under $200 with 8% off plus a coupon. While waiting for the preorder I got the deluxe Boba Fett and the Space Trooper both which arrived before Vader.

I got mine yesterday! It's amazing and I'm so glad to finally have a Hot Toys Vader. Didn't have a chance to snap any pictures, but I moved the robes over the armor and spent an hour futzing the inner robes just right. I really like the backdrop he comes with too. I didn't have any issues with the cardboard being bent or anything. I may put the armor back over the robes and call it ESB Vader to display with my Bespin Luke.

In all, I'm glad to add him to my collection and I'm pretty shocked he's completely sold out everywhere. Hot Toys must've been pissed nobody bought TFA figs. Might also be why we don't have Hux or Poe.. :/
