My LCS has this in stock, is it worth getting even if you only want the hands? The light-up saber arm on the ANH version has the hand attached already so you wouldn't be able to swap, right? Are the 1/6 cathode lightsabers sold by pixel battery-powered or will are there wires to an AC adaptor?

It's a great figure, but 'worth it' depends on how much you want the hands and how much spare money you have! I doubt there will be a lot of hands available at non-crazy prices.
You are correct, the ANH light up hand will not be able to be swapped (at least not unless you have some epic modding/creation skills)
Pixels' sabers are mains powered so you will have a small cable to hide.

Did Toy Anxiety put up all the parts of Vader, or just some of them? I swear I was watching that RO Vader loose parts page like a hawk, and as soon as I saw anything go up there were no helmet or hands left. It felt like waiting online for SDCC passes to go on sale.

Thankfully, I already have the full figure thanks to Super Bad Toys, but I really wanted a spare helmet to mod the SS Vader.

Oh well, I still have my Sideshow waitlist order.

I know I want the R1 body suit and cape and tunic to upgrade my ANH vader. I have the R1 belt, boots, and cod piece already.

Just stopped into my LCS on slim hope he had one in cabinet. He did have the batman returns joker mime and a couple of ssc figs. He also had a sweet giant size xmen 1 in a cgc 8.5 holder and a nice avengers run. Oh and a sweet artfx Spider-Man. But no Vader.

It's an awesome book. I'm happy with my copy that I paid $3 for in 89 because it had a small hole on the back cover. Would be at least a 7 otherwise.

Yeah it comes undone pretty easily the first time, but then the material gets a lot weaker and it becomes a pain to remove.

Just opened mine and put him in a simple pose. Glad to finally have a Vader in the collection...What an iconic figure!

HT could stand to come up with a better belt solution. What they give us is pretty bad in that category

All parts were up. The hands supposedly were gone about 3-5 minutes after appearing and the helmets within an hour or two. They only parted out two RO Vaders - for a major fig like this, they would normally do four, and then restock. They mentioned it would be very limited.

Both parted out Vaders are totally sold out now except for a single inner robe.
