And... I don't remember ever seeing Vader deflecting blast bolts with his saber in the OT.

Yeah he didn't use his saber in the OT to block any bolts, but that scene in ESB was also great just using his hands. He did deflect bolts in RO though, besides blocking them. A new force move as well. He sent that one blaster bolt right back to the rebel that shot at him. It happens right after he slices that rebel on the ceiling. And that was also another "what the? Did he just do that?" moment.

And that makes sense against a lone shooter, but he would totally rely on his saber to deflect 12 shooters...no?

And it kinda looked to me like he did stop a shot with his hand in RO amidst the mayhem, but I could be mistaken.

sorry to bother you guys but how good is the stock cape of this Vader? in some reviews they say it is a nice quality upgrade over the ANH, and of course previous SSC versions.

It's nice to me. I thought some said they preferred the HT ANH one - don't remember why. I seem to recall people thought the V.2 (not DX) SSC ESB/ROTJ cape was best 1/6 Vader cape overall.

The stock cape has a very nice drape to it. It's pretty heavy, so the weight allows it to drape nicely with some good folds in the back.
