From what I've been told by a pal at Disney, there are ELEVEN more OT SW characters in development at HT right now, and the goal is to release the majority of them before the new movie hits. 6 are from ANH, 2 from Empire, 3 from Jedi. I won't spoil who they are. There are no prequel figure in development and there are no plans to do them. It's all OT and Ep VII.

Hoping this is true, if so I am betting.
ANH - Luke, Leia, Obi Wan, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper and ??
ESB - Boba Fett, Bespin Han (with carbonite)
ROTJ - Jedi Luke, Slave Leia and Darth Vader (with hand missing, unmasked, etc)

Wouldn't the six ANH figures include Han & Chewie?

I am aware of 11 new in development. That would be a collection of 14 HT 1/6 SW figures by Q1 2016 including the ANH Han Solo, ANH Chewbacca and Bespin Luke Skywalker. And that is just scratching the surface of what Star Wars can do. The Ep VII stuff is a whole new thing on top of that!

Sooooooooo the board has a "mole" with Disney contacts and not to spoil our fun won't reveal the figs to be produced....I am guessing no fun would be spoiled if the cat was released from the bag. It'd add more flavorful discussions. Please let us know the 11 figs to be produced from OT.

In interviews HT Rep's kind of hinted they wouldn't be doing anything that SS has released recently... So I doubt will see C-3PO, R2-D2 or Vader... They pretty much said they would only redo characters they could significantly improve on, so figure for IV it would be:

Obi-Wan
Luke
Leia
Stromtrooper <--- can never have enough of these
For the last two, I'm not sure, possibly Tarkin or Greedo.... not really sure...


For Episode V:

Lando
Leia in Hoth Gear or Snowtrooper

For Episode VI:

Slave Leia
Emperor
Luke in black outfit.

Why wouldn't they make Vader? Biggest bang for their buck.....

I think storm trooper is coming soon. Han's exclusive accessories along with (life sized) versions on display at every convention IMO is more than coincidence.

Calling it. If SS ****s up hoth luke or Han they're dead. Nobody will give them the time of day anymore. I think they have a lot riding upon these two releases especially at the $ they want for them they better deliver. Two iconic characters need to be done with absolute well....Hot toy esqe quality or.........

Personally I'll be disappointed if there are no PT figures in the series. Sure the movies weren't as great or iconic, but the designs were well done. Not to mention it's part of the lore. HT has teased Anakin for years, so not sure why they would abandon it now. Regardless still looking forward to seeing what they unveil in the next few months. By next year's Comic Con it's probably going to be insane with figures from Star Wars, Avengers and Batman v. Superman all coming down the pipeline.

That would suck.

I'd have preffered to get Bespin Han and Lando from V, with Boba added to the VI figs, but I can't see them doing Lando and skipping on any of the VI figs I posted. Slave Leia might be difficult to make, but it's a classic design. Maybe along with a Jabba (does he really count as a figure? He'd more of a statue with moving arms) as a DX set.

Hot Toys needs to make in whatever form or forms they choose they following characters. We already have three so off to a good start:
hero's - Luke, Han, Chewie, Leia, Ben, Lando, Yoda, C3PO and R2
villian's - Vader, Fett, Trooper (various versions) and Emperor

Anything else except Ewoks (avoid at all cost) is icing on the cake....
