Well, I am almost sure that they will release a Darth Vader but it will be in 1/4 scale as this is a new, unique version different from the 1/6th scale of sideshows.
I mean, I like the sideshow version a lot and sure it can have improvements but it is amazing nonetheless and I wouldn't be as excited to have another sixth scaled version. But to expand that 1/4 scale and really make a statement with this Star Wars line would be to release the most iconic villain in 1/4 scale.
I think the same may go for Boba Fett.

That's the thing with this 11 SW figures in development, besides 1/6 Han and Chewy.....are they all 1/6 or do they include 1/4 scale? Seems everybody is assuming there all 1/6 and that might/probably isn't the case given the time frame between now and Ep VII.

That is correct. But Hot Toys is off and running now and will be doing many, many characters.

I revealed (in so many words) that Hot Toys would be getting the SW license many, many months ago. And Mr. Know-It-All on the forums said it would never happen. That I was an ***** (in so many words). He still bashes everything Hot Toys does. I just don't get it. What's the point?

Glad to see the first two figures have been revealed. I've seen better (candid) photos of both. What's throwing off the Han in the photos is the dark hair and dark eyes. Both are lighter/correct in the photos I've seen. The Chewbacca portrait is being fine tuned. It's basically just a simple fur suit he's wearing, just like the real costume. I don't know why SS said it would be so tough to create. They've have the license for like a decade and haven't done it. Yeesh.

From what I've been told by a pal at Disney, there are ELEVEN more OT SW characters in development at HT right now, and the goal is to release the majority of them before the new movie hits. 6 are from ANH, 2 from Empire, 3 from Jedi. I won't spoil who they are. There are no prequel figure in development and there are no plans to do them. It's all OT and Ep VII.

No PT?
Damn, that really sucks. Two of my favourite characters are Ep.III Anakin and Obi Wan. It really is a shame if HT won't do them.

I bet at some point they will visit some prequel characters. Anakin in particular is really popular in Asia. I could see them going down that road at some point. Right now I am happy seeing the classic trilogy characters getting some love.

ANH: Leia, Luke, Old Ben, Tarkin or Vader,
ESB: Fett, Lando
ROTJ: Jedi Luke, SG Leia (PLEASE), Emp (though I rather have Skiff Lando!)

I'm just a little surprised by your stance is all. One time I saw you losing your **** over the placement of a nozzle thing on a helmet. A nozzle. Sometimes I see your long rants about inaccuracy, so needless to say, when I see you're okay with a generic looking "Han Solo", I'm bit a perplexed. You also can't tell me you've never played the "it looks like so and so" card. EVERYONE has. I find it a wee bit hypocritical that some vets on here are offended or annoyed by it.

Surely you can see why "harsh critic" and "believe own drivel" would be a little ironic? Yes?

I think Bespin Lando is more iconic than General Lando though. Maybe include the second costume?

No look, without dissecting your post & responding to each statement you've put there - you make some good points, & if I say I'm a hardliner on SW items, theoretically I should follow through with that all the way.

That said - while the Han head is obviously far from perfect, I really don't hate it at all so far. It could go either way; HT either listen to the complaints, or they don't. They didn't with the DX05, & that doesn't exactly bode well. The hair piece thing? Stupid idea - headset or not. They really should've concentrated on a flawless head.. but anyway. In hand pics may still not sell the figure properly, but only time will tell.

Like I said to you before though, I really am just ecstatic that they're making OT SW figures, so I guess if I'm going to be honest, that's probably diluting my cynicism a tad.

I'm pretty much in line with your list though I could see Hot Toys tackling a ROTJ Fett instead of a Lando... though I'd love to add a Palace Guard Lando to the collection.

I would like it if he was all dirtied up.... but I have no reason to have another ESB Luke what so ever. I already for the two with the DX Set
