Yep. As hard as we try, those wonderful collectibles just can't make it all into our displays. Glad i never strayed from Star Wars path when figures were slow to turn up. That way, i still have some margin to afford the first wave of HT Star Wars goodness.

I wonder if HT will put a new figure up for PO every month or so, or two every couple of months, if these all come out before the new movie. Either way, can't wait.

So all these other figures we've been getting were really just filler until HT got the Star Wars license? :lol

At least they might slow down on the Iron Men and Jokers.

This announcement truly has mad me reevaluate my collection... knowing now what's coming. Still getting Alien Ripley and T1 BD Terminator... thinking twice about Batman Returns and any Marvel figures that I was loosely considering.

That's what Sideshow did when it first started out with Star Wars. It was fun, and for $50 it was easy. It would be way too much now. And its not HTs style. They release things in bunches. We have a Han/Chewie bunch now. Next will likely be Luke/Leia or something like that.

The SW license was always Howard's Death Star. It's now fully operational.

I wonder if HT will finally give us the landspeeder that SS promised all those years ago.

Re: Hot Toys - STAR WARS 1/6th & 1/4th Figures from Episode I-VII + New Interviews

For those wondering what to do with their extensive Sideshow Star Wars collection. Besides sell it. Keep the PT figures and any 2nd, 3rd and background aliens, droids and troopers. HT is likely not to do those and in time things like Kit Fisto may actually be worth something -- people will miss the PT at some point.

But what to do with my customs...

Especially if the Sequel Trilogy sucks.

1/6 scale

Hmmm... I don't think HT has a license to do SW vehicles, does it? If they ever get one, maybe they'll do a mix of 1/6 and Compact Series vehicles. In any case, a landspeeder, at least in 1/6, doesn't look likely.

There are only 13 characters in the original trilogy (I don't count Yabba..too big :lol), the rest are background characters, but still 13 at over $200 each, it's tough. Not to mention, the alternate costumes of the 4 main characters. I would keep some of the SSC figures.

So you wouldn't get a Stormtrooper because it is not a specific character?
