Does anyone think that this figure will sell slowly enough that we'll be able to use a coupon code on him in September?

Who knows nowadays. Whatever happened to fast sell outs with SDCC exclusives. Kinda feel like a ******* for jumping on to order it day one. Will feel like a double ******* if it goes coupon .....

It could happen but kinda doubtful who really knows. Not sure if they'd give a low quantity alert. Already got mine with rewards otherwise i'd be in your shoes.

Seems like this isn't a complete Exclusive as I noticed both Forbidden Planet sites have him listed.

Albeit at highly inflated prices (£239.99) as usual with their listings, and with their usual fabricated recommended retail prices (£289.99).

Was wondering that too but finally broke and ordered it. Expected him to ba available from local sources but it seems no Continental Europe based has Luke for PO.

The product description makes it seem so:

"One (1) interchangeable Stormtrooper helmet with mechanical details inside"

Disagree.

I own a stormtrooper hot toys and it specifically says do not remove the head. Also if you could, I am 99% sure they would of had a picture of it. Also need to think from Hot Toy's perspective, if they allowed this, would lose money on selling stormtroopers.

It doesn't say anything about not removing the 'head'. The helmet pops on and off like any other sculpt. It's the neck they say not to remove.

I pre-ordered this as my first ever Sideshow order, I figured why not try everything at least once?

I'm almost certain that I won't pose it as Luke but as the specific Stormtrooper TK-421 with the grappling hook instead. If there is no other solution I'm going with the Marmit way and I have seen a couple of people doing the same with the previous Han & Luke Stormtrooper disguise figures from Sideshow to be able to use the helmets on the figure.

For those unfamiliar with Marmit the older Marmits only had a neck with a larger ball and you stuffed the inside of the helmet (which is able to hold the head of a figure should you decide to change bodies) with something I don't know what it's called in english, foam fabric or something? It worked without being perfect, and since the helmet weighs next to nothing you can even pose it a bit.

I really do hope the helmet is interchangeable. I passed on the regular ST waiting for this as to get a 2in1. (since im not a troop builder)

I've waited years for this figure to get a decent release. Too bad they didn't release Han at the same time.
