My dream is a Trevor Grove level Ford sculpt, young or old, preferably both, with HT paint levels. His old SS Indy PFs are still amazing.

Hot Toys - Star Wars Episode IV - 1/6th scale Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper ...

Luke is getting released in Hong Kong today. Saw it posted on FB.

Nice, Hippie. Thanks for the news! Hope there's a slew of blogger pics unlike the Spacetrooper. I guess it's likely since we saw those two already.

Budget Stark video:

Sculpt looks good. Chin dimple intact!

He's the same height as the short trooper and the helmet fits on his head with the inclusion of a different neck post.

He says that there's a glistening of sweat on the face, which under the wrong lighting gives the effect of the gerbil cheeks seen in those first two production photos.

With a good look at the final sculpt and knowing that it comes with a neck post so it can also be a short Stromtrooper, all concerns I had are met with satisfaction - I just ordered this :) I want to use the head to upgrade my Ceremonial/Yavin Luke custom, but it won't fit on the sideshow body I am using now- anyone have a good suggestion for what body I should look to get for this?

You'll definitely be looking for a "Slim" style body. My headless Ceremony Luke (see my custom thread) is on a DX6 Jack Sparrow slim ready and waiting. I'm hoping the neck peg is compatible and the skin tone matches though. The old Hot Toy Slims put Luke at the correct height of 5'7"/5'8"-ish. The new style Slims, which Bespin Luke is on, are the right build, but it's too tall. There are the knock-off slims, and other brands, but I've never used them for a Luke, so I can't speak to them.

Thanks. I'll want the height to be the same as the other yet to be released HT Luke from ANH for the sake of consistency. I think I've heard this figure will be shorter than the Bespin figure so it sounds like the "Slim" style body is what I want. Thanks.

Thinking about the height though and watching this again I feel like the video gives some contradicting information. He says that the Stormtrooper Luke is the same height as the short Stormtrooper (which is what I would expect) but then he says he is the same height as Han and Ben (which shouldn't be right) and in the video it also looks like the tall figure in the way the armor fits; showing the top dot on the waist armor with some space to spare before the breast plate.

Looks like the tall storm troopers chest piece with short body.

Han solo has knees bent and leaning back and kenobi is slouching a bit and assuming knees also bent under the cloth which makes them look like they as tall as luke. Lukes hair has a tall "puff" on it. Might be just the camera.

This looks really good with all the accesories and he seems to add variety to storm trooper collection since he has the tall chest plate with small body(hips to legs don't have much room to show black under suit)

The information he gives is indeed contradictory.

However, the leg armour matches the position of that of the short trooper. The breastplate looks a bit high on the shoulders compared to my short trooper, so it may settle down a bit.

I'm not sure the chest armors are different between the short and tall figures. The bodies are, so the armor sits differently. I think the way the leg armor is sitting is indicative of this being the short trooper body (it's all flush together with no under suit showing through), the chest armor might be riding a bit high--the right shoulder could be pushing it up.

For your purposes, I'm not sure you'd want a sweaty Luke ceremony headsculpt anyhow, right? Unless Luke is thinking "Oh man, I really hope they give me a medal. They better not give it to that walking carpet."

Since you need the body, and they're expensive, you really might be best grabbing two Tatooine Lukes, there's lots of goodies to sell off to help make your money back, and it leaves you with the head sculpt and a body you need, and matching hands.

Luke wasn't nervous about not getting a medal. He just saw his new buddy Flynn Rider there give his girl a wink and a smile. Saw his chances slipping away.
