Awesome!!! Just got notice my Stormtrooper Luke has arrived a day early and is waiting to be picked up at my local UPS store!!! On my way to go get it!!!

The lenses are not painted. They are green. I got mine last night, decided to keep along with Sandtrooper! With Luke's head off, it looks exactly like a short stormtrooper and this not a bad thing. Standing next to Darth and Spacetrooper he looks fine.

Luke Stormtrooper and Bespin Luke are very close to each other;guessing they used the same base body, which is great. Likeness looks great, but something of the uncanny valley in his eyes going on that I don't notice with their Han or Ben figures...

Just got mine out of the box and put him in a quick pose as a Stormtrooper next to my SS Vader (soon to be replaced by HT Vader) and regular HT Stormtrooper. Here are some quick observations...

  • Luke's sculpt looks great. Some people have complained about the eyes, but mine looks fantastic. I was also pleased to find that the sweat effect given to the paint app is very subtle.

  • The neck peg came out with the head when I took Luke's head off and it took pliers to pull it out. It was also really difficult to get the peg to go into the padded spacer the helmet goes on.

  • I was surprised to find that the difference in height with the regular Stromtrooper I have is minimal, Luke is only slightly shorter and I had to turn him back to back with the regular Stormtrooper to really tell for sure. It's especially unnoticeable when Vader is between them. That may not be news to people who got the two packs but it's my first experience with Stormtroopers of different heights.

  • Finally, I found that the instructions for the grappling hook are different than the instructions for the grappling hook posted about farmboy Luke. The Stormtrooper Luke's grappling hook instruction says it can be removed and the line wound back in with a dial underneath.

Anyway, I don't have time to really futz around with the figure much today, but I had to take a quick look at him. I am very very happy with it.

My stormtrooper head fell apart as soon as I pulled it out of the box. I put it on but it wouldnt stay together without super glue. The glue fixed it looks perfect but I requested a replacement from ssc anyway. If they say no replacement I'll take the credit.

Luke just arrived today. I think he looks great straight out of the box. Sculpt is fantastic and the eyes seem fine to me. Haven't posed him much yet. Also, where was his grappling hook placed on the belt, to the right or left of the backside?
