No. No he didn't.

Not only by doing so does it take away from Han being a bad-arse quick draw ruthless SOB, it just looks terrible on the screen. Who the hell said "yeah George, Greedo's laser fires out at 45' to the barrel of his gun, plus he misses from 2 feet away, but no, really, apart from that it looks seamless and great!!!". I'm not against a lot of the SE changes though. I like the extra ships, and I LOVE the improved Death Star explosion. I think they're great additions, but we could have done without the stupid extra Tatooine scenes of swinging Jawas and especially the Han/Jabba scene, which just looked terrible.

I'm an old fogey too, old enough to remember the original cinematic release (just).

PT was absolutely terrible though. No arguments. It was poo.

If you genuinely hated all three, fair enough. But I think a lot of people have a lazy tendency to lump in ROTS with the other prequels, even though it was a marked improvement. In fact I'd even go so far as to put it on the same level, or even above, ROTJ.

OT is good, but the slow burn of ANH is a hard view for some people as a first time flick.

PT is schlock. Phantom menace had the most heart, but is still schlock. ROTS was less schlocky, but dipped too deeply into " I'm so goth a fart bats" territory that Nolan was dragging us into at the time. But even then, was still schlock.


And even then, as bad as they are, I still enjoy the PT.

Ah well, they are only supposed to be clones....

No they aren't. And Greedo never shot. They can retcon any crap they want to, but the fact remains these are "Stormtroopers". Different heights, different voices. If you want to imagine there are a few remaining Jangos mixed in, go for it, but these were never supposed to be clones. Hence the name Stormtrooper, not "Episode IV Clones", "A New Hope Clones", "Phase III Clones", "Han and Luke in Clone disguise" or any other nonsense. The word "Clone" was used in Star Wars as reference to prequel times, so it did exist. Why is there not one reference in 3 OT movies that the Imperial army were still clones?
