No they aren't. And Greedo never shot. They can retcon any crap they want to, but the fact remains these are "Stormtroopers". Different heights, different voices. If you want to imagine there are a few remaining Jangos mixed in, go for it, but these were never supposed to be clones. Hence the name Stormtrooper, not "Episode IV Clones", "A New Hope Clones", "Phase III Clones", "Han and Luke in Clone disguise" or any other nonsense. The word "Clone" was used in Star Wars as reference to prequel times, so it did exist. Why is there not one reference in 3 OT movies that the Imperial army were still clones?

Majority were clones during the times of episodes 4-6. After the empire started to fall more and more humans were allowed into the ranks.

Look a couple of pages back for the definitive explanation. They *were* clones, but from different templates. And it's not retconning, the Clone Wars has been mentioned since the start and even the official poster magazine back in the day hinted that the Stormies were clones.

Not liking the pipe cleaner legs or arms. Do like the apparent shininess. Also like the possibility these two may be different heights. Don't like the extra expense on the detailed bases - I won't use them and would rather not pay for them.

What is that other logo along with the HT logo?

Okay this article seems to settle it. Lucas originally intended Stormies to be clones, over the years changing his mind (of course) before going back to the idea in the end.

But with Disney rebooting the canon, Star Wars Rebels apparently makes it clear there are no clones in the OT:

There was a video just posted on FB of the Stormtrooper reveal and in the comments someone said they mentioned the two different heights just being more accurate as the troopers were different heights in the films.

There was a video just posted on FB of the Stormtrooper reveal and in the comments someone said they mentioned the two different heights just being more accurate as the troopers were different heights in the films.

Personal feelings about the movie aside, how can there be any arguments about height when there's pics like these?

I think people are just debating whether Hot Toys is going after the height differences in standard Stormtroopers or they're planning on Han and Luke. Seems that it's just standard troopers.

I'm pretty sure Han and Luke versions are inevitable and this was just a way to get people to double dip. At the end of the day, it'll make Stormtroopers and Han/Luke in disguise screen accurate AND Hot Toys can sell TWO two-packs. Win-win for them.

The stormtrooper question was asked in star wars insider a few years back as to why there are height differences. The answer (from sansweet) was that there were still some fetts in there but as alot if those had died off the empire had brought in clones of other people.

I'm glad this isn't Han and Luke in disguise and just Stormtroopers of differing heights. I like this idea and I also didn't want to pay for more Han and Luke sculpts.
