They all are and all are supposed to be. Humans were the officers and engineers and personel. Clones were the fighters.
If you see any different sized stormies that was a casting issue.

I know "OT elitists" are hard headed but I would be glad to have clones ret-conned as Stormtroopers because that means, somewhere in the galaxy, there are Stormtroopers who can actually hit something

If you just took what you saw in the OT, Stormtroopers are the biggest joke in all of cinema armies

BTW it's funny how many pick on the Stormtroopers because of them failing to shoot the heroes (if they were shot, the movies would have ended in the first 5 minutes), but they always forget how the overrated guy in your avatar (Boba Fett) falls in the Sarlacc Pit like an amateur LOL...

Eh, complaining about people trying to impress other people with "knowledge" probably just means you have very little. Enjoy the pretty lights and go about your day if information upsets you. Why even bother participating in online discussions?

It always amuses me when geeks try and call out other geeks for knowing too much about geeky stuff.

Anyway back on HT Stormtrooper figures, I really hope they won't reuse the SSC helmet sculpt. I'd like to see some close up high res shots of the helmets. A helmet is a hit or a miss.

I can't see hot toys re using sideshows sculpt but I agree that getting the helmet looking right is key, very excited for this line though. It's gonna be a pricey 2015.

If they reuse the SSC helmet, why not reuse the SSC armor? And if you do that, why doesn't SSC just announce they're re-releasing their stormie fig instead of HT doing it for them?

I know, there's some supposed HT connection to the development of SSC's stormie, but the use of another company's sculpt from 5-6 years ago makes no sense for HT's bold splash into SW, right?.

The helmet or a face is the most important thing for any character made as a statue/figure. If HT fails, I still might get their Stormies but will be disappointed, knowing that Marmit and Gentle Giant managed to make very cool helmets so long ago.

HT the ball is in your court. Don't scan SSC helmets, go for a good one. At least go for a MR CE/eFX PCR lid, it has the general proportions right.

I don't want to be any more off-topic but I just want to say thanks to Jkno for that explanation about the supposed "incompetence" of Stormtroopers, I showed your post (#503) to my Stormie-ridiculing friends. Before, all I could explain to them is that most movie villains are either too forgiving or never hit the heroes at all -- so the latter can live and the story will progress: Lex Luthor stabbing Superman with a kryptonite at the waist instead of slitting his throat (Superman Returns); Antonio Banderas not getting hit in a gunfight in the middle of a small bar while surrounded by enemies (Desperado); Villaine killing only I team member when Barney Ross and the entire Expendables team are surrounded and disarmed (Expendables 2). Last night I watched "The Chronicles of Riddick" and the enemy grunts were also terrible shots. Incompetent villains are everywhere. In Star Wars, there are actually good, valid reasons why Stormtroopers never hit their targets.

Oh and any debate over Han and Luke stormtrooper releases is pretty redundant. I do not see the heads coming with these troops but HT will no doubt release them. I'm guessing as con exs as easiest con ex to do.

First of all, this isn't even a official announcement it was a reveal made to their VIP's for Secret Base, its the one year anniversary it was only for their VIP's. And just like the Ripley sculpt or Starlord anything could be changed on the fly just look at Murphy in cop uniform also there was a picture posted of Han and luke in the Uniforms and the helmet on Lukes is kinda big to make up for the size, and the chest piece lies low, but these are all just assumptions

First of all, this isn't even a official announcement it was a reveal made to their VIP's for Secret Base, its the one year anniversary it was only for their VIP's.

I've been holding off on pouring that bucket of water on the excitement. But yeah, I think these are still a long way from preorder for that very reason.

IF these figures are coming in the end as Luke and Han in disguise (again: if), will they have replaceable/exchangeable heads and helmets (like SSC versions), or you can add a helmet over the head? I have 8 HT figures, but none with a helmet, so I'm not sure how HT does when helmets are involved...

They are a prototype. It takes a long time to make 1000s of figured. If we see them before next summer i would be surprised.

SSC Vader is great and will look better with two same height Hot Toys Stormtroopers that are clones.

There were no clones in Star Wars. Not some clones, not a handful of clones, not one clone, but no clones. Zero. There were also no two Stormtroopers nor Sand Troopers in Star Wars that were exactly the same height.

I respect your desire for a perfectly symmetrical layout, and I suggest you should, in addition to waiting for perfectly match troopers, also wait for a symmetrical ROTS Vader, then everything will be "perfect."
