You have a point here. They've been told what HT wants them to know. Until we get an official announcement this is all supposition.

Some people just aren't satisfied unless there's conflict or some off the wall debate going on in a thread. I suppose talking about the actual subject matter is just too passé.

Yup. What we actually got instead was the Droid Wars. The Clone Wars must have happened after the three PT movies.

Wait, why am I still taking about the PT? Arrrgh, it's like a giant pile of dog crap with the world's most powerful magnet imbedded in it. You know you want to stay away, but it just pulls you in.

Exactly. I've said that the moment I've watched PT. Why Droids instead of Jedi vs. Clones... But we got what we got, little we can change.

I think maybe you overreacted because that's not at all what was intended and the second half of the post was in reference to all the previous chatter of Han and Luke, which has been going on since before you got into the thread - in other words, this was all repetition.

I generally like your posts BTW.

Remember eFX and how they officially declared the Scout helmet cannot be made of ABS? It has been changed. Official things like these can change, due to so many factors involved in research, production etc.

I heard that SS isn't doing too well and that HT is helping business by allowing them to distribute. Without HT SS has no 1:6 market. I think they will slowly lose the SW license and rely on Marvel and DC. How's that Joe line doing?

Bored so I'm checking this thread out. Not sure where you heard this but from what I know SS is doing just fine. I also have never heard they're getting out of 1:6 nor gonna give SW up. Not sure where these rumors come from. Also, I saw Rory say something about this being a sign HY doesn't care about SS. They're doing items SS has already done. This is exactly what I've been saying for quite some time. Nothing has changed.

Although these HT Stormtroopers look amazing, Im looking forward to a side by side comparison with SS's. I still think SS's is pretty damn nice.

About the height difference. What if they are just two different height stormtroopers. But, if you also own The HT Han, Chewie, and the obvious forthcoming farm boy Luke that is coming. Now, all of your figs are interchangeable, you can leave them as stormtroopers, add Chewie...or swap the heads with reg. Han and Luke and you have correctly sized Han and Luke in trooper disguise.

Oh, and they are not clones!

About the height difference. What if they are just two different height stormtroopers. But, if you also own The HT Han, Chewie, and the obvious forthcoming farm boy Luke that is coming. Now, all of your figs are interchangeable, you can leave them as stormtroopers, add Chewie...or swap the heads with reg. Han and Luke and you have correctly sized Han and Luke in trooper disguise.

Just google a pic of the SSC one & match it up with these proto pics - simple.

The differences are pretty obvious; the SSC one has all kinds of wonkiness going on.

To me there is no debate. The tag makes clear this set will be made of 2 regular, faceless stormtroopers. Then, it's also clear HT are hinting at a coming heroes in disguise 2 pack with this size gap between both figures.
Pretty kind from HT to reveal two different stormtroopers if you ask me. If they had revealed two identical stormtroopers, we'd probably be debating whether or not they'd offer a shorter version when releasing a Luke in disguise, much like we did when Sideshow released theirs back then.

The most important thing for me, more important than any Luke & Han in disguise, is to see how they make the helmets, which as with any human face, they bring up or down the character. I really want a good Stormtrooper, maybe even to be able to say it is the definitive 1:6 or at least a close one.

In case anyone was wondering, the promo/box-like image for this release follows the exact same design language as the recent Han + Chewie 2-pack. Same typefaces, same icon-based character substitution, similar layout, same frame-based accessory snap-shots. Both releases also have the same type of display stand, alternate color, so that seems to be a new HT-standard for SW characters. Maybe the trooper one isn't finished however - some slight repositioning and re-compositing to be done to get it to the same level as the other, including better fade/shadows on the boxed areas around the accessories.

I edited that part out while you were replying as I didn't mean to imply that it wasn't location-specific - because yeah, Death Star in the artwork.

A Tantive IV background for the troopers would also look very cool, and that's how I'd like to display mine.
