He said that seriously? Priceless! No living being can be THAT deluded, so he must be a true genius of humour. The whole PT is one huge comedic scheme. It's the only explanation.

I think Samurai Yoda is pretty much the only good thing about the PT, it was hilarious and obviously meant to be, why else would he stop fighting like something out of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and then immediately start hobbling?

Because Yoda has such a mastery of the Force, he uses his muscles as an extension of his will to hop and leap, etc. I'm sure it requires intense control.Under normal circumstances, he's an old wobbly creature, but draw the Force inside him and infuse his body with it do his will.

The Jedi powers were a complete nonsensical mess in the PT -- right from scene one in TPM.

I mean, if the Jedi can run like The Flash and leap hundreds of feet, then why are they ever trapped in the arena with those three monsters? I mean, RUN super-speed and LEAP into the stands.

You PT supporters have a problem that OT stormtroopers having terrible skills? Well...the old Jedi were "the stormtroopers" of the PT.



And the Jedi's ability to foresee and sense danger was also a mess. Uh... Palpatine. He's right there.

Of course, George's intent was to turn it into this big political intrigue epic, but it's a cavernous plot hole to say the least.

Another scene that got me asking why ask why; in AOTC or ROTS Windu told Yoda that the Jedi Council should address the senators that they can't maintain the force or something like that.

Not very smart of Windu of all Jedi's to suggest that comment....I think...

Hmm, I viewed it that the Sith had the upper hand with the force due to the lack of balance. By the time of ANH the balance is shifting as Luke arises.

In Empire the Emperor speaks of the disturbance and mentions the son of Skywalker. I guess he refers to this as Anakin is no longer associated with that existance. He is now Vader so Palpatine wouldn't say, you have got kids you idiot, go sort them out!

But in ROTJ as Vader has mixed emotions, he senses Luke when Palpatine cannot. The Endor Moon landing. So he is conflicted and the force brings back Anakin through his son
. Anakin brings balance for me, not through killing Palpatine but through being just a normal thinking individual with power.

who wouldn't want to marry, have kids and be a hero. A Jedi existance looked boring as ....

I actually don't mind the PT. Phantom Menace is rubbish but the other 2 are good ROTS especially.

People can easily deflect the illogical device of the Jedi's powers of observation by saying the Sith's powers cancel out the other. OK. It's dumb but whatever. You'd think Palpatine would have to be concentrating constantly to keep out all those scanning Jedi vibes. He'd look constipated in almost every scene. But whatever.

Why doesn't someone try to defend the tougher question: how can Jedi leap all around and speed-run only when it's not dramatically important?
