That was pure speculation on my part and just my opinion on my part regarding the mattel and HT photo release. Just as it was speculation on our part that we would see something in Nov. or even December. We gotta remember that winter barely starts on December.

I am just as eager to see something soon, at least more than a movie poster photo. But truthfully, since HT's official announcement, I would rather they get this perfect the first time around. We've been waiting for this a long time and for the right company to come and do the figure justice. I can wait a few more months to finally see this and be giddy with joy.
In the meantime, it would be great if HT would dribble in some info on what the figure would include. Not necessarily a photo of the face but photos of accessories and costume and body type.
Has HT ever done that before? Teasers? or do they just show the whole thing?

HT teases by showing components all the time. One example - they had a blog picture with the boots and some other pieces of Mech Test Stark before letting people see the RDJr sculpt.

Very true......We all forget that the pic may not show up until January ...wouldn't that suck !!!

Me too! But the bats problems REALLY left a bad taste in my mouth toward HT. If HT learned their lesson though, im sure this will be oil free!

Don't know why Superman would have any rubber on him. And the hard rubber is the only thing that has leaked.

They're speculating CR Supes would have a rubber body. Personally, I'm hoping they don't compromise articulation on this one.

Doesn't the Comedian and Wolverine have the rubber torso?

I would be happy if in sometime soon HT would announce that we would get the CK alterego as well. I just want something official, ya know?

Yeah i hope we dont get a complete rubber body, i'd prefer something with plenty of articulation.

I'm sure the HT sculpt will be great, Arnie Kim afterall, but not so sure it will match Bobby's - that will take SOME effort.

Also Bobby's real hair and casting in silicon adds a huge layer of realness to his work

Great point..since when did Superman ever have a rubber suit ?? It's not like Batman we always knew he wore rubber suit...so what give's ?

there will be NO rubber used on him. the comedian and wolverine both had exposed flesh on their arms, and wolverine was even designed to be displayed shirtless.

Superman , Specifically Chris Reeve Superman wore spandex. he will not get a unique, 1-off body, as reeve wasn't that buff when he played superman. he was Fit, and trim, but Superman's strength is not from the size of his muscles.

mark my words, This figure will be on the Truetype advance body,

which, for the record, Looks AMAZING under spandex outfits. again, i suggest you go look at the Snake eyes customs in the joe thread using it... better yet...

Same body as wesker, except with thighplates to make them have muscle definition.
a picture of the forearms.

calling it now, this is the body that Superman will be on.

and that's a GOOD thing.

Let's hope so. That body is near flawless. The only other bod I can see them using is one with a sculpted neck/chest like the Saizo I believe

they MIGHT go that route, but i really REALLY doubt it, as that body is incapable of being put into flying poses due to the fixed position neck.

Yeah true i put my JD on a HT's blade body and you cant see any joints etc so i'd be happy with that for Supes.

but then this thread is pointless for anything besides "oh I'm so excited we're getting this" and other variations of the same.

But, I think we may get a sculpted neck, b/c if we don't then you'll see all the neck joints as the Superman Suit fits below his collar bone, I for one don't want to see any joints around his neck/collar bone area as that will just look terrible. I think a modded to more Reeve look rubber chest/neck would look fantastic on top of the advanced TT. you still get all the neck articulation without any joints being shown.
