I'm with Gipetto on this. I won't be putting him in any completely horizontal flying positions so the a neck joint that allows that is useless to me. I don't think too many others will be doing that either.

I'd want him to have no visible joints at the neck.

Separate sculpt with angled neck for flying poses.

but then this thread is pointless for anything besides "oh I'm so excited we're getting this" and other variations of the same.

But, I think we may get a sculpted neck, b/c if we don't then you'll see all the neck joints as the Superman Suit fits below his collar bone, I for one don't want to see any joints around his neck/collar bone area as that will just look terrible. I think a modded to more Reeve look rubber chest/neck would look fantastic on top of the advanced TT. you still get all the neck articulation without any joints being shown.

So i don't know. so long as they don't use the simple elbows and shoulders like wolverine and the t800 have, i'm ok with whatever.

yes but it works with superman returns b/c the suit goes above the collar bone, but not on the Reeve Suit

ahhh. yeh, i just went and looked at that myself, i hadn't noticed before. yeah, I expect he'll be on the same body as Enzio then. same as blade/wesker ( TTadvance) but with a fixed position neck. I'd rather a rubber upper torso covering allowing for neck movement at the torso, as well as where the head connects.

Personalty, I'd rather no rubber at all, as the blue from the suit WILL stain it after a few months, just the nature of the rubber hot toys uses.
then again, TBQH, I'm fine with an exposed joint. It's an action figure/ doll, not a crappy statue.

Personal preference, though I'll wager several of the older freaks agree with that me Articulation > Ascetic every time.
we don't have the tech to perfectly merge both, you've got to go one direction, or the other. Take the DX batman, for example.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that he DEFINITELY will not be on the bruce lee body.

He's going to be on the TTA, for reasons of cost, trust me on this.

The only REAL question here, IMO, is what they're going to do with the neck.
As for getting him in and out of the suit, Much like all the medicom super heroes, as well as the Returns superman, the superman costume will not be removable. The Clark Kent costume, if there is one, will go directly on top of it.
He's going to be Sewn into the costume.

on the first paragraph, they won't. he's going to be on the TTA, just wait and see. Spandex will make him look correct, or as close an aproxamation. the only reason lee and wolverine have bodies like that is that they are intended to be displayed with their shirts off. Superman isn't.

On the second paragraph, they won't. Lee only comes with two bodies as a sideshow exclusive, and sideshow WILL NOT be carrying this figure through their site, you'll need to go through a different retailer, as DC Direct will not let sideshow sell DC merchandise.

Which is actually hilarious, as sideshow is the official importer for Hot toys, which means that the ones DC direct will be selling through their site, are going to be purchased through sideshow.

IF we're lucky, Hot toys MIGHT include a second Superman shirt to put on an additional True type body, so you can have kent and superman displayed at the same time.. with the iconic shirt-ripping pose on kent.
