Yeah, either way he's an amazing figure; it can definitely be appreciated on many different levels. The more you look, the more you find. It's easily one of the best figures from Hot Toys.:banana

People say that same thing about every figure Hot Toys release. I do too. Each figure I get is my new favourite. Of course once the 'new' wears off opinions balance out.

Some great pics guys!!

How come some of you have got these ahead of the shops? I'm still waiting for my store to get this one in. Is it a membership thing

Question for those that have the Ani-con version... what does the back part of the waist area of the pants feel like? hard like they have been glued with something to keep them tight or soft? I just got mine in from a HK seller (sweetpig1022) and the brown box had been opened and also the figure. the tape circles were already disconnected.....oh, and one of the pistons on the leg is missing so it's hanging down. :cuss :cuss

needless to say I've sent an email asking what's up with sending me an opened figure...:monkey4

good point. once the magic of the "new" wears off, one might look at a figure differently. however, i can safely say the mark1 iron man is still my favourite 1/6 figure even after all this while, several other additional new figures down the line.

the rubber skin t600 is pretty cool and it certainly has a tonne of detail, but it's not among my favourites. which isn't a criticism of its quality, rather a compliment for hot toys, who have such great figures across the board that it's hard to pick favourites!

Ouch!

I'm sorry to hear that mate!

But to tell you the truth, the tapes do come off easily, as these are pretty heavy to begin with. So it might not be the seller's fault. I'd say take it up to HT, since they'd definitely do something to fix it. But yeah, good luck with it man!

The Tape would not come undone if the figure wasn't opened fully already.. I wonder if the seller will say he opened it to check for defects.. but then why would he not notice th hanging piston and damage to the styrofoam??? :dunno

Exactly. Not terribly fond of their aliens though or the dated headsculpts of old but pretty much every release nowadays makes your jaw drop whether its a license you wanted or not.

Friends in Hong Kong and eBay are the best options.

Yeah, but not if you do not want to pay an extra $50 dollars their not. Shipping and prices are always higher when getting figures from HK or ebay.

tell me about it! i have no particular affinity for the godfather films (as good as they are) in terms of the characters. but the ht figure, as well as the enterbay version, is simply fantastic work. same goes for the new blade2 franchise ht just launched. i doubt i'll get the figure, but it's certainly a very well-made figure, wesley snipes likeness aside.

as for the salvation franchise, i think all the figures are top-notch work. but i'm happy with just the rubber skin t600...

:D

Hot Toys are dangerous like that. Making me want to buy figures from films I'd had no previous interest in. I'm trying..really trying to resist the urge to buy that Blade figure. I watched the first 2 films again the other night just to see if I really need a figure to represent them in my collection. I was never exactly overwhelmed by those films and I still amn't and yet I could go either way on the figure. I've been changing my mind daily since the pics appeared. "He'd go nice with Wolverine" I say, only to be countered by "yeah but you'd never even heard of the character till you saw the films, he wasn't part of your childhood, he has no nostalgia factor"...I retort again with "but he looks so cool, imagine him fighting Wolverine!"...."you don't even know if they exist in the same universe!" AAARRRGHHHH!!!
:banghead

Anyway thats a bit off-topic. I look forward to seeing my Skinjob T-600 again. I only had him out of his box for a short period before having to put him away and never even assembled him with all his gear knowing I'd have to take it apart again. Its a beautiful figure, I love the imposing size. I really think the P1 predator, though an excellent figure, should have been closer to this size.
