Have you actually thought about it and worked out why there is complaining? The same sort of scenario for houses/mortgages.

They'll go up until people eventually stop buying them.

Toy market ain't gonna last forever, so neither will the doll market. Titans like Hasbro and Mattel have been suffering for the last couple of years, only a matter of time until Hot Toys goes through the same realization.

its like $45 for each piece...Selina and the Bomb....compared to say those Mafex which are $40+ and quality isn't that great, I would say its kind of the going rate for imported figures. Play Arts are reaching close to $100 now...

I don't really have a problem with the price, given the detail, how hard it must be to manufacture and what will likely be a pretty limited run (suppose some custom artist was commissioned to make this -- it'd probably be $3 - $4k and not as precise... doubt anyone would include remote controlled lights and propellers). Where the prices really bite me is the aggregate. I'm fairly new to collecting, so my purchases are divided among a number of lines and the yearly total has been a bit brutal. Yesterday I made some tough choices, though, and cancelled 4 pre-orders ($1150.00). Have to say that felt pretty good.

Agreed. I'd say it's definitely worth it if you're a big fan of the franchise (I disliked TDKR and the Bat design, myself). Those two pieces will no doubt be highly coveted once this eventually sells out.

Is it worth it to wait a couple of months to use a $20 off coupon on this thing or will it probably sell out? I have it pre-ordered on BBTS just in case but I do want those reward points, plus I want to use my reward points on this.

Too expensive for me. $780, add shipping to the UK and then 20% tax and we are looking at $1,200 or so for something that will be out of scale.

I wish they got rid out the electric and moving parts and managed to get this thing out for around $500. Oh well.

.....Only thing interesting about it is the 6" Batman, but then again, that doesn't even look impressive (especially with all those Mattel, Medicom an other 6" Batman figures out there).

It doesn't. I suspect HT may know this considering we dont' get any close up pics of it. It looks just like the derpy DX12 sculpt but just smaller. Some of the proportions are weird too. I'd love to see a 6 inch Keaton and Jack with the same quality at the 1/6 versions though. Whether I'd bee willing to lay down $100+ or whatever price they'd put on them is another story.
