I think it's got a lot of potential, but his chin is a bit too exaggerated. If that's fixed, he'd look great, IMO (still does, but that'd make it a lot better).

Its better if you buy this because after 6-12 months if you dont like it, the price will only go up so it will be in your favour

The chin is exaggerated, but compared to the Enterbay Begins sculpt i prefer this one. The enterbay chin is somewhat too thin/pointy, and his eyes seem squinty. Whatever everyone says, i will say hand on heart if Hot Toys have made the odd tweak to this figure after listening to fan comments, this piece is going to be THE definitive on-screen batman figure of all time. Hot Toys always surprises us guys be honest?? Complain all you want, if you have pre ordered this Batman you wont ever be letting it go... I only hope they do us a 1/4 Man of Steel and Joker. Il be a happy man

Yeah, terrible news. Goes to show the dangers of pre-ordering. Think i'll be using the Barclaycard for this guy! ha

Gonna mull it over for a few more days. The enterbay cowl is a thing of beauty, but with a few tweaks the HT could be definitive like you say.

Plus, the sonar head and grumpy mouth would always look pretty good. I'm sure a little posing could detract from some of the "neck-up" awkwardness the prototype has.

I'd love to see Hot Toys turn around and give us a final product with a cowl that matches their best work...but it may not happen. People complained about the Endoskeleton's teeth and it got released with only a few fixes.

Really? I thought that was a pretty good figure as it was, sure the teeth are basically the first thing you will look at because everything else is chrome lol but i mean all the joints and pistons and little engineering tweaks are amazing on the exoskeleton. Its like the toes have seperate joints and you see mechanically how everything moves lol i just hope that much accurate dedication has gone into the Batman. If it has then we have a winner.

Everyday I look at Enterbay Bats i'm so happy to have it. The cowl truly is amazing. I cant remember where I heard/read it but that the 2nd suit cowl is the exact same thing as the OC. With the major exception that the OC cowl has that "panther" look to it. Then its sized down for the 2nd suit. But thats it. It's just sized down. It's supposed to be the exact same face/expression on the cowl. Hypothetically speaking, wouldn't Enterbay have a better chance at creating the "definitive" Dark Knight Batman? All they need is to nail the suit. The cowl would almost be a shoe in.

Like on some the magnet for the cape was positioned wrong and the suit collects dust like god knows what, but i think Hot Toys put a lot of heart in the dark knight suit judging by the DX12. And applying that expertise and art to a 1/4 scale figure will only impress more. Oh, not a perfect figure by any means. I modified it quite a bit to get it how I wanted. Truthfully, outside of the belt and the magnets, those were the only true complaints I had. I chose to mod the neck and cape. Mine collects very little dust to be honest. I'm sorry about yours. Yeah, i'm a fan of the DX12 suit too. I hope Hot Toys impresses you as well. Based on this video, I actually like what I see.

Lol yes i saw that video, also commented that i bet some lucky Hot Toys employee took that 1/6 scale version of The Bat home and hung it from his ceiling haha Bats looks a bit cok-eyed in that video actually but i think because hes looking head on. I wanna get my hands on that Sonar cowl and backpack though, i think il be posing him a long time with that look. Also im asking some custom guys if theyr willing to make a wired cape for this scale of Bats like i had for my DX12, the posing options go through the roof with them capes.

You bring up a very good point about the wired cape bringing up a ton of posing options. But the Sonar head and back pack along with the exclusive 1/4 scale cowl do too. I'm definitely going sticky bomb gun with sonar head and cape from the Dark Knight. That will complement EB Joker quite well imo. Good luck with getting that custom cape dude.

Yes, of course! I'm gonna need him but also 1/4 Bane and Selina Kyle too before i'm happy lol. Sadly, I don't think that'll happen. One can wish though. A worlds finest look with 1/4 Superman would be nice though.

Is a 1/4 MOS confirmed by HT? Truly am torn between the Enterbay and the HT at the moment. I think HT have a tendency to focus on the details/accessories without looking at their overall proportions as much as they should. In my opinion, the PERS system killed the realism of the 1/6 DKR. Looks so goofy to me. Enterbay are less flashy, but a bit more artful I think. All that said, my long-term/current thinking is that the Hot Toys Dark Knight Rises would look cooler next to a 1/4 Keaton!

I think most of the common "imperfections" of the EB Batman are not beyond our control, save for those extreme qc issues that some had (like paint rubs, scratches, broken joints, warped cowls/gauntlet fins). The magnets are movable, belt can be modified, "body fat" can be trimmed. Also, I disagree with it being a dust magnet. The rubber suit's surface makes dust particles roll down! I'm sure though, that QS001 would be THE dust magnet, considering how DX12 is.

I've got a Hong Kong seller telling me July 31st is the release date. August seems viable at this point. Though, seeing is believing. Until then, its anybodies guess.

I will believe it when I see it. As for now, with what the preliminary photos of this figure when it was announced a year ago on July 26th is not very good. This figure does look anything close to Bale with the cowl on. Unless Hot Toys really revamps this figure, I am not to excited about this. I have the Enterbay Batman 1/4 and The TDKR DX 12 and both to me are the best Batman figures to date.
