Here it is at the convention. Different from the promo photos due to Hot Toys lighting.

It's just painted fully matte black.

As much as I would like to believe it is because of lighting, photos taken behind glass windows, photos taken by phone.... Hologram AI has seen it in person and said it is just painted in matte black. It is quite disappointed.

I do not believe its completly matte black. That chest piece is glossy. I always thought it was black chrome. Still looks that way to me.

It still does... It's just not as easy to see in those pics. That's why the chest plate is reflecting more than the rest of it.

Can someone use a real camera and take photos of this thing? All these phone pics have motion blur and all sorts of light bouncing off the display case. Still pumped for this!

I dig it, i bet this is one of those that dont photograph well due to the subtle shades, but i bet in hand looks great.

yea he also says you have to see it in hand, and he is a Iron Man only collector so if he seems excited about it, it has to be good...

It says in the item description that it's matte and metallic black paint, so I'm not sure why people are surprised it just looks black. Even in Hologram's photos, I can see where the different paint patterns and translucency show up. It won't have the bluish glow of the promo pictures, but that's all due to the promo lighting.

That said, I admit that I was led to expect a slightly different black paint scheme because of the promo pictures, but I do still love how it looks.

I think people have to realize that HT is real good at bringing out the best in their pieces through gorgeous photography. The Stealth IM in person will not look blue and it won't look as glossy and lustrous. But, it won't look bad either.

All HT builds these days kill the competition. The best hands down. In fact I'd say the competition has upped their quality to try to compete with HT. A win/win for us.
