Well if this is what the M7SM looks like I doubt I'll keep mine. I was under the impression that the entire figure was shades of black.


From Hot Toys Description:



"various shades of metallic and matte black color with digital camouflage design, translucent black chest armor and articulated flaps on back of legs"



No where in any description of the original figure did it mention brown/bronze highlights. The pictures of those areas have a brownish hue but I attributed that to lighting and thought they were matte black


War Machine M2 has similar looking areas in the official photos and there isn't any brown on it at all.


I kind of feel bad for thinking the "blue tint" crowd was crazy and now I know how they feel, expecting one thing but getting another.

The promo pics do show the faceplate and various other parts of the suit to be bronze... but my brain wanting it to be "Stealth" interpreted this as those "different shades of black metallic paint" apps... Still, looks good and one can't lose as this is a coveted number. I love every release so far of the Mark vii but it's time to retire the suit. Even if they do 1/4 or Diecast version(s) it'll be, and this is a term I'm coining "WHITE NOISE". Would've also Loved if they improved those rubber inner elbows from previous releases.

My only concern is paint rub. Starboost is my first and only IM figure and I love him to bits but I'm a bit disappointed with how easy the paint has rubbed off in some places. Is it a common this with IM figures?

This looks great. From everything I have read and seen the only difference between the chocolate and the regular stealth is the stand. I know people think there are color variations but I dont think thats the case. Either way. I am glad my waitlist converted. This is a beautiful figure.
