Ah ok. So for the Avengers release, they used the fixed-faceplate head that came with the Mk.IV?

Yes, the only thing removable on this is the chest piece. The head can be swapped to the Stark head obviously, but you can't change the helmet's face plates at all.

Sweet. So the armor, while not truly battle damaged, does have some scuffs and scrapes.

Which is odd seeing as the official shots from Hot Toys show no damage

I guess this answers my question. Had no idea there was some work done on this to make it unique. So if you have both you can line him up from clean to semi-scuffed to battle damaged. I like that.

Now that HT fixed Thor I'm glad I weathered the recent frenzy over this figure and passed on it. Mark VII will be all I need for a nice "final battle" display of all characters. I'll still be tempted to pick up a VI if they release it with all the bells and whistles he had in Stuttgart, and possibly even with more accurate proportions like we appear to be gettin with the upcoming VII.

I think a lot of people will like the MKVII once they realize how much it looks like the MKIV without the extra armor and jetpack. It's my favorite armor so far, though the MKIV and MKVI are awesome too.
