If you're creative, you can make your own wireframe for TDK on the Batpod. Good old fashioned wire coat hangers. Or get the ball of wire you normally get in garden centres that are covered on a plastic sheath. Easy to strip off and the wire is more flexible and easier to work with but not as thick as a coat hanger. You can then pull off nice flowing capes for the Pod. Or for general use.

Do you sew the wire into the cape or is there some other method?

tdk has amazing detail ill just never get over how husky he is. I know he's not thin in the real life costume, but he's a tank in figure form. Waist, chest and arms are way too buff. Hopefully when it's in hand it'll appear slimmer, but if anyone wants to take it upon themselves to create a custom cape, count me in.

no, just don't shoot anypictures of it from the back. :naughty

Ahh, I'll have to pick up some wire from the art store. One of my favorite shots in both Batmans is when Batman shoots back and out of the train after blowing off the back half fighting Ra's, "I don't have to save you either..." classic stuff.

With the TDK figure, I'll want to capture that leap off the building in Hong Kong as well as the leap at the end before the SWAT battle.

Really wish the final looked like the one on the right... it looks great to me. Slimmer arms and body, unless its just the lighting and pose.

I disagree, looking at it some more the design is far from identical. they're posed slightly differently but its totally different. look at the giraffe neck on the in hand one too... im gettin a little worried now.

The Proto's head in that second pic is posed in a slight downward position while the production is looking straight. I wouldn't worry.

It's the same neck. Like Ringer stated, the one on the left is posed with the head looking up more so more neck is exposed. The prototype is also leaning back more than the "in hand" too.

There are changes. You can see it in the catalog comparison. The chest piece is different (the older one looked a bit better). Look at the area where the silver breast plate and bat symbol part connect. The shoulder pads are also new.

The neck is also new. It's more accurate and has the mesh sculpted.

how are retailers like Toys2 getting them already while others are receiving them in December?

nice figure,
but he still look bulky.
i wish they use the slim version.
and the cape is a bit off (not in size but in the fabric they used)

two shipments/batches.. the ones in december are the ones being made for DCD direct.. the ones that are coming soon are the batch for Hot toys and retailers.

is there going to be any kind of difference in the two batches?

Glad to see that Hot Toys is not hesistant to study and redo things they are not completely satisfied with...even with a figure that is nearing his release date. I actually think this is really good to get a product that they (and the fans) can be proud of.

I won't discount the fact that it seems that they have rushed things out for the sake of getting them out (TDK Joker v1)...but they end up making up for it one way or another (with Bank Robber Joker).
