I am so glad I have this figure on order.
absolutely love this pic, i know how ill be displaying my dk suit figures, one with the whole getup sitting straight like in the movie on the stationary batpod and the second without the cape and with the bruce wayne HS on the neck that fits the masked HS ( if possible) the mask.. i might dremel out the masked headsculpt. like the scene atop the tower in HK

I wouldn't dare do that.. I might do that with a cheaper head from a cheaper figure... but not the HOT TOYS one... get a cheap mattel 12" figure and dremel it.. or recast it and dremel it.

Haven't really checked out the rest of that forum for the rest of the new pics but I think this one looks decent with the cape on, no?
I don't think this one has the "bulk" everyone's talking about with the cape on or are my eyes might be playing tricks on me?

That suit up sequence was pretty cool, and he managed to get the cape to hang on Batman's back fairly well, and off the shoulders too.

Like someone else posted, some people might have been too excited to make the cape look right before taking pics. I saw one where the plastic wrapper was still around the belt out of the box. That plastic wrapper I'm referring to was the one to prevent paint rub of the belt on the the window of the box etc.
Sorry - not familiar with "Eva 01 Test", saw that on the link I posted too. Something to do with the Evangelion anime?
Mind sharing?

Eva 01 Test Type refers to the purple Evangelion unit (the giant purple robot) from the titular anime. I just thought it was funny that he used the packaging from a Evangelion toy for his TDK suit display in the "suit-up" sequence. I have that toy.
Anyway, I had thought that excited owners of the new TDK figure were either too ecstatic to futz with the cape before taking photos or just don't remember what the cape looked like from the film (or just don't care). Really sends the wrong impression for a lot of folks, some of whom jump at the bit to cry foul.

You can probably score a kitted out head on ebaY for around $20. That way you don't ruin your fig.

Yeah, strange pose, but that's what I'm talking about. Good to know there's a good range of motion in the legs. wonder if you can get him down on one knee like that one promo shot?
I am gonna be playing with him like a little kid when he arrives...
I actually reckon the pose makes him look perfect, i want to display mine with something similar, not exactly like that, but it really highlights the best parts of the figure while making the cape not look too weird and not making him look overly bulky. Looks panther eyeish too - nice

no, you still can see the cape too clearly on his shoulders.
to make it look lean and slim the cape has to lie flat on his back, leaving his shoulders naked like here:
you can see quite clearly the difference...
the hot toys cape is just too thick

I was hoping to find some takara capes on ebay they sell seperately, but nothing
maybe we can remove 1 layer of the hot toys cape? because it seems it's double layer...?

this pose and camera position makes the figure look accaptable, I might even say, slim and lean like in the movie...
now just a good cape and the figure is almost perfect

There are really beautiful shots.
Also really interesting is the method how the cape is fixed on the body. It looks like crimping it in the small hole...
