"The other exciting news is, we’ve made some revisions on the final product to make it as accurate as the real batman in the movie. First, we’ve narrowed his shoulder and reduced the size of his shoulder armors. Second, tighter pants for him to looks more fit in size. Third, JC Hong, YULLI & Kim Jung Mi have amended both head-sculptures as your bonus! Lastly, we’ve also made a little amendment on his cape & belt and color of his suit. You’ll realize how much he has been improved when you got him. You know, we just want to impress you!"
I for one are really glad to hear that they made the neccessarily changes to the headsculpt and everything else not right with the prototype. Now I can't wait to get him in my hands as early as next week!!!

Not sure if that is the new sculpt. They had that "new head sculpt" sign from day 1. Guess we'll find out how big a difference the change really is next week.

Yeah, exactly. There was some wierd thing going on under his right eye too.
And no, that is not a pic of the updated sculpt posted above. That's the original with the eyes painted slightly off center.

Here is an earlier pic. I think the difference is from the angle in which the pictures were taken from. But I've been wrong before....I could be wrong here.

this is great news, i also got the newsletter, and the last day of Sept cant come soon enough!.......i'm anxiously waiting for tdk version bat. also, how long does it take after the fig is released from hot toys to get here in the US from toys2?

I wonder if they'll do the same like Amazon and such with games, where they have the items on hand and dispatch it the day before the release day. So it arrives to you on the actual launch day. I could be wrong with these things however.

The face is really it's problem, the gel look on the hair is fine for replicating the effect that he took off the cowl, but for Wayne it'd need more body to it. The big area I see hurting the portrait is the nose and mouth area. The bridge of Bale's nose has some dents and things, the HT one almost looks too perfect and is definitely missing some key things, stuff I'm glad Andy caught in his sculpt. The mouth is also missing some of the distinctions Bale's has. When I look at the eyes, I totally see Bale, it's great, but the whole head is off.
Toys2 ships the day they get to their warehouse, but that'll probably be a couple weeks still from right now.
Agreed. Andy's Bale is the best I've seen and those key elements that he captured are lacking in the HT sculpt. Your right though MF, the hair is perfect for that just removed cowl look on the armored figure but not so great for a Wayne kitbash.
Ya, I was going through Begins last night for some images, and the hairstyle HT used is correct for Wayne, he did have a part with it pulled back, it's just more pressed down to the head on the Batman included heads. I think Two-Face'll be the last TDK figure for a bit, but I'm still hoping to see a Wayne at some point, just to have one with HT's skin texturing effect and also a suit that matches one from the film instead of just being a nice suit like the Saturday Toys suit.
I doubt it, but I'd love if the tweaks on the head with this TDK suit figure were a whole different portrait, Bruce doesn't need to look pissed out of the cowl, I'd actually rather a face of mourning over Rachel's death since it was the only clear shot of his face out of the suit like that we got and I think it'd be more powerful on display to show Batman is limited and human and has feelings and isn't just a pure creature of rage and intensity.

When he was with the secretary and then what's his name, Earl? Rutger before he met Fox. It was pretty slick there, when he said you look just like him, your father.

Not saying you're right or wrong darren only pointing out that the 2 pics you have there aren't the same pic from 2 different angles. You can see in the first pic the grappling gun near the "new" head sculpt and in the 2nd pic the gun is gone and there's a open gloved hand near the head sculpt. Also in the first pic the name plate on the stand reads "Batman - The Dark Knight Costume" and in the 2nd pic it reads "Batman - The Dark Knight Version".
