HT recently produced a new type of body,Slim True Type made for Michael Jackson,as you can see its a Bruce head on it,do you think this one might be used for TDK suit?As the suit was pretty slim in the movie,or maybe not?

No, the slim body was made for MJ. There's no way the slim body would be used for the TDK figure, it it's shipping in 7 days.

yeah i know, but they might have had this body in the sleeve for a while without informing us about it,just like they said in the newsletter about the sculpt and body, and no pics.
Maybe the Bruce head on the slim body is a teaser what to expect...maybe...maybe not.

It's a possibility that that's what they did. I'm sure they've had this body in the works long enough that they could be using it for TDK. The only reason I don't think they'd do it is because they are debuting it on MJ so I doubt they'd just throw it out there for TDK.

i hope this body was actually made for batman in conjunction with MJ. and not just a MJ fig I mean really who gives a crap about a MJ fig?

Even though he is a freaky perve, the "man" has tons of die hard fans all over the world.

"First, we’ve narrowed his shoulder and reduced the size of his shoulder armors. "

you know it just occured to me the only way you can narrow the shoulders of the tdk bat man and to reduce the size of its shoulders and arms is to put him on a thinner body type. the old batman looked wonky cause they were building on a body type that was to big.

TDK first suit body used is kinda thin itself,so if they are planning on making TDK suit body smaller it makes sense that they use the Slim body.

If anything, it would be the new HT armor body (which is made for figures with armor and is already slimmer than the normal HT body; the black one in the middle is the Armor body BY HOT TOYS but have given sideshow the rights to use it also):

Unless they have a modified neck in the works I'd be surprised if they were using the slim body - that one looks like it's designed to look right with an opened collar shirt. One of the big differences to the suit is the improved head and neck articulation, I'd be surprised if they hampered that by using a neck that's only jointed at the base of the skull.

Good points, but it seems like HT has sculpted neck and jointed neck bodies of the same style. HT Will Turner from the Pirates line has a sculpted neck base body, the chest is a different muscular build, probably also for the showing of the anatomy, but HT could have a slim body with jointed neck designed where the main difference is just the upper torso pieces, same arms, legs, hips and all. They'd be too limited if they made this body without designing it to it's fullest potential.

Glad to see them coming up with body variants as far as body mass, now if they could just take care of height.

now if they could just take care of height.

But haven't people complained about height (shorter figures) in 1/6 scale before since the companies want to charge just as much? Like Star Wars Jawas/Ewoks/etc.

People complain about a scenario like Hobbits, whose bodies are half the size of a standard 1/6, being the same cost as full 12" bodied figures.

What I'm talking about is better height balance within lines. For example, Sideshow has a short Buck body and a standard and for the most part gets the body choices right so figures stood next to each other that on screen, looked to be taller/shorter than the other, carry that look as figures. Hot Toys has 1 body height for their male and female bodies, and within that, the male figures end up out of balance with themselves, and the females are almost rediculously undersized compared to the males.

If Hot Toys made a Rachel Dawes in this line with their current bodies, it'd look like Bruce was a pedophile for being with her, she'd be so tiny compared to him, where he's only a few inches taller in the movies.

actually it'll look like shes the pedophile because she looks about 50 years older than him.

OK sorry if this has been brought up already, but are there any pictures out about the modifications to this figure for the final release yet? I personally have been much more impressed with all the images of the Medicom version, but if these revisions are as good as they sound, then Hot Toys could trump Medicom. Anyone have any links to images?
