Improvement on The Dark Knight – Batman (TDK Version)

Good news for Batman fans! The last day of September will be the release date of TDK – Batman collectible figure (The Dark Knight Version). The other exciting news is, we’ve made some revisions on the final product to make it as accurate as the real batman in the movie. First, we’ve narrowed his shoulder and reduced the size of his shoulder armors. Second, tighter pants for him to looks more fit in size. Third, JC Hong, YULLI & Kim Jung Mi have amended both head-sculptures as your bonus! Lastly, we’ve also made a little amendment on his cape & belt and color of his suit. You’ll realize how much he has been improved when you got him. You know, we just want to impress you!

Really?! OH WOW, is this real news?! You're not just pulling my chain!? Breaking news, my man.

what ??!! thats awesome ! :rock This should rock even more. Hot toys really likes to please its fans ! :rock Where did you actually read this first ?

plasmid was being a sarcastic prick, guys. That was in the HT Newsletter last week or so.

This forum is already worse than the SW one with the over-analyzing, nit-picking and personal carping... and that says a lot.

Ya, A) can't blame someone for trying to be helpful, and B) can't blame them for missing that the news was out over the last few pages of this thread with all the bull^^^^ pointless mudslinging going on. If I weren't so hyped for this figure and new images of it, I probably wouldn't have read through it all, but since my option is sift through the feuds for stuff or not catch it, I press on through it.

wow , I didn't know . :lol:lol
Sorry guys , I wasn't sure. Been busy the last few days. Either way to me its new so good news is awesome news.

Oh and I joined the newsletter :)
Thanks Reinhardt. :rock

My big fear now with all the slagging that Hot Toys may no longer listen to us after all this craziness. Or may stop coming here. It's not the first this has happened with a company reading forum boards and stop from so much dissing.

It's one thing giving constructive feedback, but sadly there's too many just being totally anal about it. No offense. :)

There's absolutely nothing wrong with nitpicky disection of pieces, especially if it leads to corrections and better product.

Like anything in life, however, it's all about presentation. If people feel negatively about something and speak of it in a mindless/childish/immature/unsophisticated, however you want to say it, manner, it's going to drive the people that need to see that feedback away. If you present your comments, no matter how critical or negative, in a mature and well thought out manner, then you'll get through to the people you want to hear your pleas and change will come about.

I haven't been around much the last month but I have to say I am as well disappointed with some of the behavior and recent comments posted here.

Hot Toys I'm sure visits this site and the comments posted here were mostly reverent and insightful. And I bet the HT gang enjoyed reading them. Not so anymore, I've read churlish, petty rants, newbies trashing, etc.

Oh, I get your points Guys. But it's not what you say, its the way you say it

So let's try to get SSF back to what made it great. :D

I think it looks great and i want it in hand...lol

where can I order this for the Sept release? I contacted every online store i know of, all but bbts said they dont get them til December. BBTS said they should have them next week but have no idea when they ship for sure... Anyone have any ideas? Anyone take orders on here from HK?

there is no way HT would go for another revision, the clock is ticking.
but i would like to show you a quick photoshop work i've done on how the cowl should look, at least from my opinion.

my main concern is the eye part, i tweak it a bit to match the preying panther looks just like in the movie.
the second part is mouth area where i think it should be closer to the eye, as all of you said before.

tell me what you think guys

yeah i agree with you there, but just like the first version it looks good enough with the head bended down a little. Not digging the cowl on the first one,and this DK isnt perfect either, but they wont change it more now anyway so no point asking for anything more.

After seeing the close up on the bike, i agree it is looking fantastic, i believe that particular pose just looks off because its from too severe a low angle, to get the full angry brow effect that the figure benefits from. on the bike, from above - perfectemundo

I really don't see a difference in cowls used(movie vs. figure). I think it looks as good as a figure is going to look based on TDK costume. I personally prefer the Begins costume but I feel Hot Toys made a great looking figure. I will be buying this and can't wait for my Batman to beat the s@!t out of my Joker!

Ok, Ok, apologies all around. It was very early in the morning when I posted that rather facetious comment (was still a bit groggy and grumpy).

Anyway, I think casper did a great job with his photoshop of the cowl sculpt. To me at least, it's greatly improved.
