Hard to tell but zoomed in it looks like hard plastic. Or at least I'm pretty sure I can make out the inside of an elbow joint.

But what I'm thinking is the head is too big. While most actors in Hollywood are short guys with over sized heads, Hugh Jackman is a tall guy with a smallish head.

Doesn't the wolverine hair kinda make his head look a bit large(r)?

The Ht Head doesn't look notably large to me with the full outfit on.

Yes!!!!!!

The figure looks great so far. I am much happier with the new look. I think the head size looks fine. My question is the blurry pic the same hair sculpt? IMO from the angle shown looks like the pointy hair. I know a second head isn't in the description but looks different to me.

Either way I am excited for this figure :banana

Very hard to tell, but it almost looks like the photo next to the figure has a different head sculpt - the hair looks different to me anyway.

Hate to quote myself but looking at that zoomed in picture above it's not a change in hair I can see, but rather they've cropped the top of the image with a black bar (same as they've cropped the bottom and I first thought the second set of hands were a short set of claws).

I'm still not sold on the Jackman likeness though - not sure why, maybe it's the heavy lining of the eyes, or difficulty in painting that sort of facial hair, but I'm just not feeling it.

Yes, the top of the hair is very flat......only one head then? I wonder if HT will add some more goodies, because it doesn't seem to come with as many accessories, yet it costs more at $170 (SS).

And before you say it, I know the price probably has something to do with the sculpted body, but, I mean look at Midnight Wesker for value!

I'm just hoping you get your store open soon so when I eventually cave in and buy this I don't need to pay $170 plus huge shipping costs :D

I cropped and zoomed the pic on my Mac. I see what your saying about the hair and black bar. I am not sold on the elbow joint and being a plastic body. I look at the Wolverine's left arm it looks like a muscle body IMO. I do not see the elbow joint.

Neither is an issue for me, I am happy with the way the figure is turning out from the first proto pic.

I reckon I can see a definite joint in 1, & a slight pale joint in 2. In 3, the plastic around the wrist opening is quite thin, which makes me think the arms are molded/sculpted plastic with no rubber sleeve. Just my opinion!

I would even guess a joint at where the shoulder muscles meet the triceps and biceps.

Definitely looks like a joint, though well hidden, on the right arm.

It really needs be, Wolverine deserves dynamic posability and muscle body just won't allow that, but certainly a fresh, never before used body like this would make the higher cost make a little sense too, without a clear shot, who knows how practical using the body for other characters would be if it's all hair and things to be Wolverine.

Another detail in favor of no mucle arms, he has a shirt and coat that are both pretty form fitting, would be pretty tricky trying to put that on a muscle body without resistance, so far the only clothed muscle figures I've seen have been baggy clothes and or just one item like Marcus and Hellboy's coats, Dutch's shirt, the Rocky robes.

The news sculpt is great! I'll definitely getting wolvie for sure :chew

I love how just because it looks better because we've seen 2 more angles of it, a lot of people just assumes it's a new sculpt :lol

Aye if he had a muscled rubber body i would be put off, that guy needs posability. Plus like you said the hair wouldn't work on a rubber body.

I'm with those who see an elbow joint suggesting a hard plastic - a shame for me since I'm not about super pose-ability with my figures, but instead prefer them to look as life-like as possible. I don't see any sign of a joint at the bottom of the delts/top of the bicep though - and without those the normal TT-based figure articulation count would go down from 32 to 30, which is what we've been told the figure has.

On another note I'm worried that the recent decline in paint on a couple of the figures, coupled with the fact they're making Wolverine look hairy, could be a problem - authentic looking body hair has got to be a huge challenge!

Hot Toys is freaking unstoppable.....

Man do they need full access to the Marvel Universe!

I do hope so. Im gonna want a Thor and Captain america from the upcoming films :rock:rock

And im definitely getting wolverine now he looks much better.
