I'm pretty confident there wont be another variant of this Predator - what else could it realistically have that it doesnt already? A netted bag of skulls maybe but a skinned corpse, no way.

It wouldnt be the first Pred that didnt have a varient. Even Scar didnt have one.

But Scar actually had two variants...both were toy show exclusives ;)

If HT was to do a variant, I would like to see one like this...
A second head with the sculpt of Kevin Peter Hall, maybe a pair of human hands/and a set of rubber/fake ones. I think it might be a bit of a nice tribute sort of thing.

It'd be a nice tribute, but how many people are going to buy a $170 behind the scenes KPH figure, I know I wouldn't buy it, just appreciate the craftsmanship on it.

I think that's a great idea.

I wish they made a hairy variant that look like this guy ->

I'd like to see one casted in clear plastic. A "cloaked" one if you will.
Same molds + little to nothing added / a vastly superior variant = The Hot Toys way.

In theory.. but I guarantee once you guys saw it, and especially when you guys saw how nasty it would look seeing ALL the moving parts that make up the HT TT body.. you wouldn't want one. Static, statue like figures like McFarlane manufactures work well. But a body like the True Type etc. with all the different parts would look terrible in clear plastic.

I agree that it wouldn't look great completely clear. I think they could possibly do the predator 1 similar to neca's sdcc wolf exclusive (but less camo and more paint) and make it look great.

I never understood the appeal to buying cloaked Preds, not McF, NECA or even a 1/6 one. You'll obviously never make it look like how it did in the movies so why bother buying one?

I already have one like in the movies. Its stood on my shelf but its invisible. :naughty:rotfl

Novelty, it's one of the coolest effects in the genre and a breakthrough in it's time.

Of course, but sometimes just coming close and reminding you of the actual effect or whatever is enough to enjoy a piece representing it. I love Hasbro's spirit figures from Star Wars but none of them look like the film effect.
