Well, I caved and forked out a whopping $520 USD for one of these off eBay - couldn't resist. Selling my Takara Batman Begins figure, the $$ for which will go some (miniscule) way towards funding this purchase :S

I think this will be available for awhile (few hours?)- SS will probably have a large amount reserved- hence the MANY changes in plan/release date this has gone through in a couple weeks. We'll see, I'm hoping....

Hey Alex,

Since this was originally meant to be a SDCC exclusive item but HT dropped the ball on that, why aren't SDCC attendees getting a special ordering window. Why are we being punished for HT dropping the ball on this? I would have gladly picked this up at the show. Those of us that ordered an attendee edition of a SDCC exclusive item should be given an early PPO on Thursday to make up for the inconvenience.

I know I'm whining but I do feel HT really screwed some of us over by not having these ready for Sideshow at SDCC like they planned. I mean they were ready a mere week later for their Asian convention

This does look awesome, but in the future HT will raise its prices too high because there are those who pay these prices to scalpers, so with respect and in the future:

Best of Luck and congrats in advance to those who will eventually snare a piece... Sideshow wont ship to India(Asia) so as much as I want this figure, doesnt look like I can get it... :/ also the worst thing is that the 'Asia' distributor (whoever he/she is) doesnt probably cater to India... its like living in a blind spot/no fly zone pfft :/

I know, I shouldn't encourage them. But I don't know how these exclusives work - I thought they were only available from the Toy Fair itself. And as for actually securing one through Sideshow when they release them, I never get myself one - I blame the time difference, but I'm generally not awake when they are released and I miss out.

They do ship to Australia, but it's a fairly heinous shipping cost from the US, as compared to buying HT figures from Hong Kong - as I did with this one.

Couple ways around postage costs - as most companies want to use a priority postage which comes in around 70USD

Use www.shipito.com - set up an account they work as a middle man and then forward onto you.

Works well when retailers have free domestic shipping and then to get it from US to Australia you can use a plain old airmail service which is around 40USD (same as from Asia to OZ).

You can even get Shipito to consolidate and repack parcels after building up a few in their storage warehouse - makes it even cheaper again

I've seen you get your hands on some other hard-to-find Batman releases, even in India. Be patient - I'm sure that, if you put your mind to it, you'll get your chance to own one of these if you really want it, sooner or later.
