Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS in Spooktacular (10.24 - 10.

That's cool, i'm starting to order from over here more though, the taxes, customs and charges come to 1/3 and sometimes 1/2 the price of the product itself. :(

I personally would value this at no more than $200, if its around that price i'll grab it at SSC. I doubt many places in the UK will have it, or will have for less than £400-£500.

Forbiddenplanet.com's figures are over £200 a time getting, then another £7 - £10 for shipping. Their shipping isn't the problem though.

Even worse, look at Iron Man. £250 :thud:

£250 = $405

It is insane, fobiddenplanet usually suck, but sometimes not.

I ordered the Baby Doll from Forbiddenplanet at a total of £145.89, where as from SSC it was around £160 in total.

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS Friday Aug 12

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS Friday Aug 12

Alex from Sideshow said they're planning on shipping during their Spooktacular thing at the end of October.

Is that in September?

Yeah. Halloween is at the end of September this year. I think every 100 years they change the month because the stars move.

March it is! Good! I was worried I'd miss it.

Because of the limited release if this was a general release than I agree with you
A friend of mine is VIP in hong kong at tys hunter and he hooked me up I had to kiss up though paid 299

Man, there is something missing here: you said you got 3 of it! All of we, that are following this thread since the very begining, know that the VIP members could buy just one of each exclusive per person (1 Iron Man, 1 Predator and 1 Batman) If your friend got 3 Bats for, as you said in the video, we can presume 2 things: or he is a scalper (or deals with scalpers, because he bought more then he could have) or you pay at least to one scalper to have them!

As Lucius Fox would say:

"... if you don't want to tell me exactly what you're doing, when I'm asked, I don't have to lie. But don't think of me as an idiot."

Hey Alex,

Since this was originally meant to be a SDCC exclusive item but HT dropped the ball on that, why aren't SDCC attendees getting a special ordering window. Why are we being punished for HT dropping the ball on this? I would have gladly picked this up at the show. Those of us that ordered an attendee edition of a SDCC exclusive item should be given an early PPO on Thursday to make up for the inconvenience.

I know I'm whining but I do feel HT really screwed some of us over by not having these ready for Sideshow at SDCC like they planned. I mean they were ready a mere week later for their Asian convention

Not a post I would have expected from you.:rolleyes2

I was thinking the same thing. How did you get three if your friend was only allowed to get one. Shady dealings or a scalper.

Yeah but their prices seem to have sky rocketed more than what me/you/they pay in dollars.

Look on page 2 for baby doll, the lesser figures seem to be a lot cheaper but not so much the big names.

£250 for Jake Sully.

They had Whiplash for £168 a while back and I got it cheaper with expensive shipping from Toys2.net. £126 or there about.

Even still they lowered the price at fp.com, £150 according to their sale.

Re: HT Batman Begins - Batman/Wayne TF Ex. SSC PREORDERS Friday Aug 12

^^ did you have to pay customs/vat at toys2

I recall that Whiplash was £129.99 at play.com for a while, pretty decent

Your right about the bigger names getting bigger prices, the berserker is insane.

I think that the retailers have to pay import duty and vat, but they can claim it back, so either way we get stuck with VAT and other bullcrap charges. Forbiddenplanet are usually more expensive than SSC (& all the charges).

I haven't ordered from eBay in a long while, do we get charged VAT/customs through eBay?

No, never. The only problem I don't like about Toys2.net is the 10% cancellation fees. Also, $47 for air mail (gets delivered eventually through Royal Mail) with no tracking, $67 or so for tracking. I think Parcelforce may pick it up.
