Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Why do you guys think Sideshow will be selling this. Hot Toys didn't sell any of their Batman figures through Sideshow, they all went through DC Direct in the USA. So if anyone is selling this one, wouldn't we think it would be DC Direct?

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Gotta admit, I didn't see this coming. Thought Gordon (as previously announced they would do one) or Ras was my guess for this.

Glad I sold my OC for 600 last year. :lol

Anyway, looks like Gordon will be TDKR or some combo TDK/TDKR.

This looks spectacular though, figure 225.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

This pose/face combination looks very awkward to me:

And makes me think of a Halloween dance:

DAMN! I casually clicked in the link for the pictures while browsing facebook and got goosebumps when I saw the Christian Bale headsculpt!

This thing is UNREAL! I never thought I would get a Batman figure but it would be hard to pass on this. If it goes for sale online I will consider getting it! Come on TOYS2!

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

As good as that Bale sculpt is I can't wait to see what some of our local re-painters do with it.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

hopefully if PO opens...it'll be at a reasonable time so that I can at least try to get in on this...

But wait, THERE'S MORE!

The anguish, er, fun has just begun! If Sideshow provides pre-orders as everyone hopes, expect bricks to be shat. You'll have non-attendees vs. attendees arguing over entitlement. Then, it gets even better! You'll have site issues that will rival Mattycollector only to have the page refresh to the beautiful "WAITLIST" status.

But Sideshow isn't a sure thing. What is a given however are the scalpers we'll all have to contend with. Not just the usual flippers that hang out here and on ebay, but online stores as well.

Good times, good times.

I'm excited about it myself, but at the end of the day it's just a figure I already have that might end up being a leaky, over priced piece of ____ someday.

Sideshow is now carrying DC Hot Toys figures (Superman is the only one at the moment, but Green Lantern will be carried as well, at least). This is a new phenomenon, as DC Direct had the monopoly on U.S. HT distribution for certain Dark Knight figures. Folks think Sideshow will list it because of this, and because they generally carry HT's non-Asian exclusive con figures. Given that this will be sold at SDCC, assumption is that Sideshow will carry it.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

I know the DX TDK open mouth expression is rarely used by collectors, including myself, but I've got to admit, they nailed that expression. As soon as I saw it, I was like "yep, that's Bale". That goofy expression that Bale makes with his mouth was nailed to a tee.

This open mouth, I'm not really impressed with but I know what they're going for. It's that whole, staypuft marshmellow, dramatic expression that he makes in Begins. "NOT WHO I AM UNDERNEATH BUT WHAT I DOOOOOOOOOOOO" Or, my favorite, "CAN YOU DRIVE STICK".

Was Iron Man limited to 1 per person on there or was it 2? I can't remember what it was but I know a ton of people circumvented it.

So you are sure that Sideshow will be selling all Batman/Hot Toys movie properties moving forward? You could be right based on the Superman figure, but I would love to see some sort of official press release on this. Also, the fact that we are learning about it this late might mean that someone else will be selling, but who knows. I guess we will wait and see.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

If I can get one for £300 I'm buying.

1. Circumvented by fake/duplicate accounts.

I'm not sure of anything. I'm just trying to convey what it appears others are assuming. I think there is a fair chance Sideshow will offer future Batman figures, because they are selling Superman and GL. I also think they'll offer this, but who knows?

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

That would be stupid if Sideshow can carry DC Hot Toys characters such as Superman and Green Lantern but the likes of '89 Batman, Begins, TDK and TDKR product is off limits.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

When you make an assumption, you make an ass out of u and mption. :wave

:lol

Anywhoo, decided I will just wait this one out until eBay in hand and if I can afford one get it then.

If not, lame, but I will wait for whatever TDKR Bats comes out from HT.
