Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

:lol I received an email from SSC. I thought it might be for this, but it's for C3PO :slap

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Also parred with the fact that SSC has had another DC figure for sale, Hot Toys Reeve Superman (which SSC also has an exclusive of).

EDIT:

MRM, where did you get the idea for that sig of yours, hmmm?

I picked the first images that popped into my when I thought about the 3 words in my user name.

He had that sig before your post in my sales thread ;)

I don't believe I've seen this post..............?? But yes Umair is right, I had this sig for some time. Had a slightly different one that had Bruce Lee for the master part.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

:exactly:Right there with you Zack.
Their Bale portrait is improved, but that alone isn't enough for me to drop big $$$. Actually, if this was Gordon or Ra's, I'd feel much more compelled to acquire it, regardless of the cost.

Yeah, my initial reaction was a boner, but that happens with pretty much all Batman related stuff. Upon closer inspection I decided my bat-boner was premature and not need for this guy. :rotfl:rotfl

Yeah, Di. He's had it for a long time. You're not the only with imagination, you know. :monkey1:monkey3

:lol

Damn.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

:rotfl agreed - there's always a rush of excitment when a new Batman figure hits...but once the blood rushes back to my brain, I usually think more clearly :wink1: :lol

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Just like with the DX, the angry mouth plate is my favorite. And just like with he DX, I won't use the open mouth :lol I'll admit that the open mouth on this is pretty awful, but still doesn't take away from it's awesomeness :rock

Man, I really hope SS gets this in and I can PO it. Going to sell the DX bats for this guy :D

I like the DK suit best. So I'll hold out for when they release that suit from DKR, pass on it, wait for the DX version of it, pass on that, and then buy the con exclusive. I *should* be in the clear by then, right? :lol

In all seriousness, reissues and updates are part of the 1/6 figure format. If Hot Toys is around in 10 years, we'll see new versions of Ledger Joker, Arnold T2, Reeve Superman and so forth. The money makers will always be milked, and I don't really mind that fact of collecting as the stuff that'll be pumped out should blow this stuff away. Still, it is kind of disappointing to see Hot Toys cash in this soon and this often, but hey, they're a business.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

As someone who was on the verge THE VERGE of making a sale of an OC Batman - ***K!!!

But as someone who can appreciate an amazing figure when he sees one - :clap

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

At the end of the day the only thing really surprising about this is HT didn't wait for next summer when TDKR hype is at full throttle.

They'll use next summer to release TDK super exclusive Batman.

I know the DX TDK open mouth expression is rarely used by collectors, including myself, but I've got to admit, they nailed that expression. As soon as I saw it, I was like "yep, that's Bale". That goofy expression that Bale makes with his mouth was nailed to a tee.

This open mouth, I'm not really impressed with but I know what they're going for. It's that whole, staypuft marshmellow, dramatic expression that he makes in Begins. "NOT WHO I AM UNDERNEATH BUT WHAT I DOOOOOOOOOOOO" Or, my favorite, "CAN YOU DRIVE STICK".

But yeah, I'll be using the angry expression. If I somehow get more than two (1 reg, 1 angry, 1 Bale first night out), then I'll use the neutral but have him posed differently from my OC TDK (which I'll probably finally have using his mangler because of this release). Time to get use out of it.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Well there are more cons before TDKR so there may be other exclusives that lead up to that line.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

This winter all also said that HT gonna release only 500 pieces of each EX figure... :cuckoo:
If you're talking about the 10th Anniversary figures, I'm pretty sure they said up front there would be 4,000 of each. Last summer, they said there would be 350-500 each of the Ex.'s released per con., but it appears to me that they increased the edition size beyond that.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Plus Batman, Iron Man, and Predator are HT cash cows. They'll keep pumping figs out for those lines until the end of...... whatever.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

hopefully if PO opens...it'll be at a reasonable time so that I can at least try to get in on this...

Yeah, as this release sinks in it becomes evident that aside from the Wayne head there's not much that makes this much of an upgrade over the original.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

This looks too good to pass on. I'll definitely order one, not sure where. If I miss it at Sideshow I'm sure Toys2 will get it. Third choice would be ebay.
