For those wondering, same head sculpt just updated paint apps.

The movie-accurate figure is skillfully crafted based on Mickey Rourke's portrayal of Whiplash/Ivan Vanko, Iron Man's enemy in the movie, features a newly painted head sculpt with detailed hair sculpture,...

But still, pretty cool re-release even though I have no interest in buying. I wonder if these Marvel figures are the only convention exclusives we'll get or if these are just the first wave

I heard back during Iron Man 2 release, all whiplash figures had to have brown jumpsuits instead of the screen accurate orange because of some weird legal copyright or something. Hard to believe but it made more sense than everyone being completely wrong on the coloring by chance.

If this is anything like the first, just sip the jumpsuit In a bowl of Rit color remover and it naturally goes the correct shade of orange. HT must have secretly planned that. It was way too easy of a fix.

I remember when we only got 3 total! 4 from just marvel is pretty crazy!

Exactly. I put mine in water with a little bleach and it magically turned orange. I’m amazed that this is getting re-released.

I'm baffled as to why they didn't update the sculpt. Still nice that they re-release, but man, I would have loved a better HS

I have been causally looking for one of these to add in the IM display for a couple years so i will probably pick it up. I really HATE reissues i feel it's more fun to hunt down an old figure for good deal so i would have been happier if HT had not decided to make more.

I actually prefer it's not updated since it will fit with my older figures better.

Yeah 'cause a Whiplash re-issue was top of everyone's wish list. I think Hot Toys have lost the fn plot.
