Despite being an articulated fully clothed figure inside of a suit of armor it has better range of motion than all the other Iron Man figures as well.

I had the same issue. In the end it was which one would be a defining Iron Man ,because it would be the only one for me, and also the most accurate. I chose the Mark II. It just screams Iron Man. I love the fact that it not only has the outer shell but you can also see it's inner workings. And don't forget the reactor or the chrome factor as well.. The only thing I wish is that it came with Stark's head. That's my two cents at least.

Me personally if I was to just get one and didn't already have the original Mark I, I'd get the new Mark I.

Im getting both.
Problem sorted:hi5:

I wasn't expecting rotational waist articulation or LEDs in the boots.

I guess there's no pods for the hip flares or shoulder micro-munitions?

Are these still the mech-test boots or a re-design? Bueller? Anyone?

Wait you mean he doesn't come with the hip flare pods... THANK GOD. I have always hated that function b/c I don't ever use them in display and they are such a pain when your trying to pose iron man's legs.

I regret that HT did not take advantage of their achievements as to adapt an abdominal articulation system similar to the Mk4 to 6 on this new version of the Mk2.

Personally I like this gadget. Just take your time and be careful not to press it when you want to manipulate the legs.

Same Mech Test boots.
:exactly: Yes the same ... I remember, however, that HT had promised to correct Mech boots that were too big ... Visibly unfulfilled promise. :monkey2

Maybe HT reserves the improvements for a hypothetical third version of the Mk3, who knows? :dunno

Anyway, this figure will be in my collection for sure! :D

it doesnt matter how careful I am they pop out constantly and not because I press them, I feel like any pressure put on the legs sets them off (more so with the mark iv&vi than with the mark IMO). I wouldn't mind this gadget staying; however I do think it needs a better lock in mechanism.

I agree: it's true that the mechanism is extremely sensitive and a better lock would be welcome, but it would be a shame to delete it.

Yeah that happens on my Secret Project as well. :gah:

It happens all the time to me but doesn't bother me in the least. As easy as they pop out, they pop back in again.

They do but the little spike bits stay out on the left leg on mine if i pose the leg.

You can see it under the helmet in my picture.

Just push them back in. You have to sort of rotate it iirc.

I've tried but the spikes only go fully in if i pose the legs close together. :dunno

I read this was an issue for a lot of people in the MK IV thread as well.

The detail on this figure is amazing! I was kind of "meh" til now, but after seeing some of these shots I'm glad I preordered this. Thanks for posting those pics!
