I like the pose and the paint job so hopefully the 1/6 scale figure version will be very similar, they are still doing an actual figure aren't they?.....

Like I said previously I hope HT nail the BD on the actual figure version, I'd probably actually pay for a separate BD version as long as they did it right

I hope so.

The question is, will we get new plastic figure versions of the Mark III and the Armored Whiplash?

is ht making an interchangeable figure of the mark 42?

No one knows yet, you would certainly hope so given this statue is up for order, if the figure doesn't have swap out parts then the only difference will between the two will be the figure's poseable :dunno

true :goodpost: and hope they give a bloody tony stark headsculpt too, thinking of the figure gets me excited :rotfl

I'd imagine the best we can hope for in terms of a RDJ sculpt is one within the helmet (hopefully BD), cant see Hot Toys doing yet another complete RDJ sculpt given there's a new one that comes with the Mark VII and the new MMS191 Tony Stark figure

Is there an actual price level for this yet? I may have missed it as this has been moved back and forth between forums and combined with other threads. :)

I think I read that it was about 150 dollars? Anyway, it looks cool and all but I prefer figures. I want my statues to be able to switch poses like the real deal. Hopefully they'll release a MMS version of this.

Success seems to come at a price...

Hot Toys is now confused, and spreading themselves too thin...with too many products.

why not releasing something from batman return license

with super alloy also releasing iron man, market is flooded with ironman

If these really are $150, I'd be in only to supplement my other 1/6 scale poseable HT figures. I'd buy the statue versions of armor types/colors that I don't have a strong interest in and then just mix them into the lot.

It's $175.00 over at Hobby Link Japan.
Why is this being made? I would love to know the thinking behind this. Right now it's a EPIC FAIL!!!

I'm in the same boat. There are some armors that I may not be wanting to drop ~$250 for. Plus, for me, I rarely change my poses after I get it into something I like. So this line isn't completely out of the question for me...just don't know yet. :dunno

I am in the minority and like this. The sculpt looks great and more proportionate than an articulated figure. I always liked the Koto line and this just looks a little more high end from the pic. Nothing wrong with having this along with articulated figures as long as scale is good.
There are still poses that are hard to achieve with regular figures so hopefully this line can fill certain voids.
