Oh don't get me wrong, I love Avengers. :hi5:

I once had PTND.

Post Traumatic Nolan Distress after TDKR. :(

Now I need group sessions.

I know. My other comment was just me rambling. :lol

I hear that. I had the same after my Trilogy event.

It even defeats the purpose of Tony Stark being Iron Man. Why risk his life if he can just stay home, controlling these armors from the couch. That's the only reservation I have about these armors. Right now, they are just glorified Hammer Drones.

Not to mention, why not try and call in some Avengers for back up? Sure Thor's back home, but Banner and Cap & SHIELD ought to be around somewhere. Especially since the Mandarin calls out SHIELD by name in the first trailer.

And when Avengers 2 happens, why won't Tony call in the IM drones then? Even if they get destroyed in IM3 he should have them rebuilt like his other armors eventually.

While it sounds good on paper, I think the drones are going to be a bad idea in the long run as it will always end up with the "why didn't they use the drones in scene x or movie y" problem now. And to some extent, the other Avengers members as well too. Hope they address that the others are 'busy' or something at least and not act like they just don't exist like in the first 2 IM films. You can't go back once you've introduced them like that :lol

Either way, it's almost as if the movie was made with HT merchandising in mind...I wonder how many new suits from the movie HT will actually make. Probably all of them and we won't start seeing them actually ship until 2017!

You bring up very good points. Those are both continuity issues that should be handled by good screenwriting and explanations...hopefully.

:goodpost: My point exactly. I aslo hope those are actual people in those IM suits and not drones.

Even HT couldn't make Marks 8-41/46 (have we ever figure out the exact number of the new suit yet? :lol). They'd just be Iron Toys then. I think we'll get the main new Mark, Iron Patriot, and maybe a few memorable drones like the Hulkbuster. I'm sure we'll get Mandarin too and maybe War Machine 2.0, especially if he is just an Iron Patriot repaint.

I'm almost certain there will be atleast ten HT figures from this film if not more.

Is there a War Machine suit in this movie or are you meaning as just a money grab?

Same thought occured to me concerning War Machine in Avengers. He was basially a second Iron Man and NY was under attack from aliens, he would've been more useful than Hawkeye, BW and Cap but there was no mention of why in this time of crisis he wasn't around to help. Nothing in his 'busy' schedule should come before saving the damn world.

Looks alright.

But like has been said, because of Avengers, why are the other heroes not helping one of their own?

That's why team-up movies didn't happen before. :lol

I bet it will be revealed that he was protecting the president during Avengers.

Especially with the rumor that he's with the president in IM3 during the plane scene.

Was Probably stuck in a room trying to diffuse an international incident with various diplomats and government officials over how Stark and Rogers illigally entered Germany and brought weapons with them. :lol

Someones gotta do the dirty work

You have a point, Hammer was no Stark and he was able to have drones do all the dirty work for him, why can't super genious Stark. :dunno

Whiplash was in control of those.

I could see him decommissioning all those suits at the movies end, because he doesn't feel comfortable leaving that much power in the hands of others.

I believe there's an avengers tie in comic that shows War Machine was off fighting some members of the ten rings while that was happening.

Edit: Found it.

I've just reread the comic Extremis and IM3 has all the traits of Extremis to a T. Tony is having internal conflicts, Mandarin rocks up and ****s **** up for him, he gets out and goes after Mandarin, Killian creates Extremis enhanced superhumans to fight Stark (under order of Mandarin?) at which point Stark likely has his arse handed to him and gets the Extremis process done on himself (as we see in the trailer). Stark comes back with a Extremis Armor, kicks the crap out of the superhumans, with the help of Rhodey and the other armors, now under Starks control, then they go finish off Mandarin.

Seems pretty simple to me.
