I think the VII will be THE Iron Man to have. At least until Avengers 2.

Glad I didn't order 42 right away. I wasn't sure if it was better than the Mark VII. Meaning I thought it would be stronger or faster since it is a newer armor.

The Mark VII was the perfect way I want to see IM in a movie!

Nah, IV is the definitive Iron Man IMO so far. Red, gold and circular chest. III was too scrawny. Didn't like the silver and triangle chest on VI. MKII's kinda bulky and still has silver.

I like the Mark IV and own it, I missed VI, But I decided to wait to see what armor he was going to have in Avengers..Once I saw the Mark VII in action in the film...it was a no brainer with HT's! :lecture

This. The VII added all those weird silver attachments and it looks too bulky. Triangles are just ugly, and I like the Red and Gold to represent that classic Iron Man look so IV is easily my favorite still. I hate how alot of the new armors aren't streamlined or how the 42 has all that extra detail everywhere with the plates, it looks like TDK batsuit and the faceplate just looks ugly on the helmet with so much detail.

Well thank you for making that decision for me and others who have not seen it.

Don't panic at the trolls.
It's really good. I went in expecting it to be REALLY great, and it was even better than that.
Don''t pay attention to the whiny babies who THOUGHT it was going to be something different than it was. For me the twist was a great moment. Very clever, totally unexpected, but still great.
As a third act of a trilogy, i think TDKR was a better movie(But it followed two very dark and sombre ones and was similar in tone), but this one still knocks it right out of the park.
This movie is equal parts thigh slapping humour, excitement and adventure.
Great effects, decent story and plenty of Tony Stark.
What more could anyone want?

Everyone make a note not to have your own mind and disagree with this guy! If you don't think the same as him then you're a moron and obviously wrong. :rolleyes2:rolleyes2

How about more Iron Man instead?? If I wanted to just see more of Stark without the Armor, I would just watch RDJ's numerous failures in film. But maybe you're right

I never said that. I was suggesting that a person can make up their own mind and not put too much stock in another person's viewpoint until they have had a chance to form their own opinions.
Are you suggesting someone who disagrees with you is wrong?
Because that's what you've just *accused* me of doing...
:cuckoo:

I didnt call anyone names because they liked the movie. In fact, no one was rude but you. Several people have stated their opinions and explained why they think what they do and you called many of those people whiny babies and trolls simply because you disagree with them.

:exactly:
Good film- better than I had hoped.
Twist was well a twist. Like it or not. Did not make or break film.
Ending was too packed and fast with too much going on at once- a trap alot of these films fall into.
Will be a huge crowd pleaser- RDJ great, as always

Having said what I said- Mk 42 FAR from being a definitive IM armor.
Avengers Mk VII is the armor to represent modern IM

I think I'll judge for myself. You think Oblivion is a 9/10 movie and its maybe a 6.5 for me. So I'll take my chances.

Wow... Josh... don't take it personal... the fact that I like Oblivion has nothing to do with Iron Man... :dunno
I absolutely love Iron Man 1, and I enjoyed Iron Man 2... this one, as much as it did a great job to develop Tony Stark... as a movie, and particularly as an IRON MAN movie... is pretty bad...
I know you will come back and say it's a 10/10 just to make a point... :wink1:

no one disagrees about stark being great in the movie...the problem is that its only stark and not iron man...
:exactly::goodpost:

why are people complaining about how flimsy the armors were in the movie. if they were indestructible people would complain that the Extremis wasnt a big enough threat. this is also the only Iron Man movie that doesnt include another armored villain which people were complaining about in Iron Man 2.

Because none of the previous ones were as flimsy... I mean... even the Chituari were a bigger threat and didn't squashed the suit like a tinker toy... :lol
