How about more Iron Man instead?? If I wanted to just see more of Stark without the Armor, I would just watch RDJ's numerous failures in film. But maybe you're right

What exactly do you mean by "failures"? If you're implying that RDJ isn't a good actor in his own rite, I beg to differ.

Really amazing on the very deviding opinions are of this film. I liked it- better than IM2 I will say
They tried something alittle different- not that massive of a change...

Its an entertaining film, no doubt. It, however, is not a huge summer blockbuster nor is it the pinnacle of Iron Man on film.

Yes I wonder how the box office will be after the first week...hard to watch the film a second time knowing about Mandarin, I will say that

I'd say MKIV. The MKVIII is a nit too busy for classic Iron Man imo

Its not supposed to be classic Iron Man, its modern Iron Man...

Yeah, this movie doesnt have the replay value as Iron Man 1 or Avengers

Wow... Josh... don't take it personal... the fact that I like Oblivion has nothing to do with Iron Man... :dunno
I absolutely love Iron Man 1, and I enjoyed Iron Man 2... this one, as much as it did a great job to develop Tony Stark... as a movie, and particularly as an IRON MAN movie... is pretty bad...
I know you will come back and say it's a 10/10 just to make a point... :wink1:

I'm not taking it personal. Just making the point that I think I'll be the judge of if its a good movie or not for myself. There seems to be a few people here telling folks don't bother because I didn't like it. My point with Oblivion is you are all over that movie right now. IMO its a very average movie. I'm not in there telling people to not go see it because I thought it was average.

I'll find out tonight if its a good or bad film. I doubt its a 10 though. I've never seen a film that was a 10.

They took that a bit too literally though and left out much of the Iron Man part lol

Yes but by intent- after Avengers IM has become too much of the hero who saves everybody...repeatedly. They wanted to take a different direction for this one. Bet we'll see oodles of IM action in Avengers 2

Speak for yourself, I just came back from my second viewing and I frickin enjoyed it as much as I did the first time. :lol

Because none of the previous ones were as flimsy... I mean... even the Chituari were a bigger threat and didn't squashed the suit like a tinker toy... :lol

Which makes you think, If Tony had the newer armor in Avengers he would have died :lol

I could see it a second time and not be bothered....to me Mandarin was not that key to the film, just a...oh better shut up

and i understand that but if the Extremis didnt tear the armors apart then people would say there was no sense of danger to tony or rhodey since they could just be in the suit and not worry about being hurt. plus like i said earlier maybe these suits were made really fast just so Stark could have more armors. he only had Mark's I-VII on the main level with all the other armors in the basement, maybe he subconciously knew those newer armors didnt offer the amount of protection that those did so he kept them in the basement

Yep they need a human inside to reinforce them from falling apart:rotfl

Just got back and loved it. The "twist" heard round the world now has me laughing that something thats not even new at this point is even such a big deal to crying fanbois. :rotfl

Much more solid than 2 imo, so if you're crying about 3 after 2, blame your own dumb ***** for going back to see another IM flick. :nana:

Logic: not necessary for some people to make a point. :slap

The thing is what I've been reading that everyone says this, but IMO IM2 wasn't that good.

Other than the fact that Widow and the War Machine and Mark VI fight scene in the end were in it, It was dragging to much in the story line.

The one non action moment that stuck out for me in IM2 is when Tony saw the old Disneyland type of film from his father and then his father spoke to him. I thought that was unexpected moment and I like how that scene played out because Tony was hitting rock bottom in his life and that pep talk from his father was a good sentimental moment. And then he came up with the new arc reactor.

The rest of IM2 just seemed depressing and uninspired for a superhero movie. :thud:
