I don't know why people are taking the ending as a literal retirement. I think the point was that Tony Stark was Iron Man without any of the tech, including his internal reactor. I don't think he was giving up Iron Man, just his post-NY obsession. I thought he was walking away a more balanced Tony Stark and hero, not walking away from Iron Man forever.

Yes, but how can people compare these two..Bane was Bane

because up until the point that it was revealed that it was Talia's plan, everybody thought it was all Bane. then Talia reveal and poof, all the motivation we thought he was doing it for, punishing Gotham, avenging Ras' death, just being a badass, got reduced to him being a servant to Talia and doing everything for her.

Killian wanted to stay in the shadows so that he could fufill his plan(ill admit im not entirely sure what that is) and he succeded. and IMO is by far the best villain Iron Man has had in these movies

No doubt , he is easily one great villian, although I enjoyed Jeff Bridges alot in IM

Can someone explain the ending to me, did Stark retire or not?

Was it that he would no longer waste time building all those remote suits?

retiring from being Iron Man. He removed the Arc, destroyed all his suits and drove off into the sunset.

But he says i am iron man which goes against his actions but could also mean he thinks himself iron man without the armour, but still no armour = no iron man. And the end of the credits says Ton Stark will return.

So it's kinda conflicting.

I am one of the IRON MAN fans that is not rolling with it.

NOPE !! I wanted the mandarin from the comics not some drunk actor.

this as a movie is good.
