He didn't want to use it to begin with. He asked for a flight plan, not autopilot. That only came when they were in an extreme amount of danger, and Tony wasn't conscious.

TDKR thread at the very least lasted until now, this one is ready to be closed.

This movie will be forever remembered for the Mandarin shock, nothing else.

Bring on MOS to the SSF torture chamber.

It will even out and the people who enjoyed the film will post more once those that didn't like it get most of that out of their system. Right now why post you liked it or whatever to be told your mindless for doing so.:dunno

Im3 is so good that while I was watching it I forgot I was in an ironman movie. Seeing tony stark hang out with a kid, call a kid a ***** (felt like watching billy bobs Bader Santa), shop at home depot, and pilot his suit from his couch was just what I always wanted in an IM movie. Who says superheros should be nice to kids. It was also cool when the main, or secondary or whatever villain he was supposed to be, for no apparent reason breaths fire out his mouth and doesn't even hit anything or a target. It was cool seeing tony inject himself with extremes and then remove the arc reactor (oh wait). It was even better to see him use a portal battery charger to charge his suit even though he spent all that time making the super powerful reactor in his chest. Its was clever when tony gets Jarvis back online and instead of calling in a better suit then the mark 42 he waits to the very end to call them in so he can make everything more difficult then it needed to be just so i could see 50 of them explode at the end.

The very best thing about IM is that the director thought he was making kiss kiss bang bang part 2, but upon discovering his mistake, he realized he had a good comedy so he added in a few cameos of ironman and tony stark together. He didn't want tony in the suit too much which was cool, who wants an ironman with an actual man in it anyway?? Ironman doesn't need tony stark. I also liked that ironman broke apart so easily, I like hero's that fall apart or are ripped in half on contact. Il really ramps up the drama, compared to the stupid avengers where the suit withstood thors hammer, withstood being grinded in a propeller and multiple alien weapon blast. It was cool seeing gandi play an actor playing a villain, I mean I don't know why no other movie has done that before. Hopefully when I see man of steel, zod is an actor pending to be the villain, while perry white the real villain is mad at Clark for making him wait for him at the daily planet too long. So he wants zod to pretend to be an alien invading rival newspapers so he can blow up those newspapers and control the news

Was a 6/10 for me.

Just barely better than IM2

The humour was over the top and stale. The plot was a mess. Some nice ideas but very average execution.

Also noticed 'clean slate' and woman finishing off main villain - that rung a bell :lol

This will be like gamma radiation to Celtic. :lol

It should be interesting to see where they go from here. Downey will be in Iron Man 4, from everything going on it leads that way.

He is currently negotiating as a group for a higher payday for the cast members of The Avengers sequel, looking to dangle the Avengers 2 and Avengers 3 as a bargaining chip. They are making it a point to say that it doesn't include Iron Man 4 specifically because he doesn't know if he wants to do it.

What that translates to for me is pretty simple. Getting his deal done for A2/A3 which puts him into contracts for films in 2015 and 2017 (maybe 2018) respectively. Which means that when he goes back to the table for an IM4 deal he is completely in the driver's seat. Either Marvel meets all of his demands or they hold off on a individual Iron Man film until 2017 or 2018? Won't happen.

Marvel will pay through the nose or whatever else he wants but it'll probably be the end of RDJ's tenure at Marvel Studios, we'll probably see them recast after this power play.

So where do they go from here? Shane Black seems to think he'll be back but for what?

Exactly I wouldn't call Bane anything near main, if anything Talia was the "Real Bane" :lol

Actually, I can kind of see them holding back Iron Man now for just the Avengers. People love him, and he'll be a draw. Downey stays in the role for the next 5 years or whatever while still having time for other projects. And then they can fill in the Iron Man shaped hole in the schedule with other properties. That would make the finality of IM3 make more sense. I don't know if that'll happen... but it makes sense.

Don't forget BW gave his bat cave to a younger person and Stark built a lab replica of his cave for a younger person.
