I don't have quarrels with people who hate it either.

Just dumb nerds who nerd rage over petty things. Like that guy. As far as I know. Because I have no intention of reading an angry rant like that, and taking it seriously. :lol

If you want to give me a negative review, do so in a manner that doesn't look like one of my forum rants. :lol

That's a good point. I guess I did not look at it as a review. I saw it as a forum rant. Which it was not.

just because he he didnt PTSD after leaving the cave in IM1, or after fighting Iron Monger, or after the Stark Expo exploding, doesnt mean he cant have it after New York event. PTSD is called POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER. all of the stress could have just been building up until it finally took its toll on him. it could happen to the wimpiest worthless person to the most succesful person. it is something that many people deal with so why is it so hard to accept that Tony Stark could have it?

Doesn't work.

Sure it does,

  1. Antagonist looks all geeky at the beginning.
  2. Antagonist idolises the protagonist (who is also a superhero)
  3. Early on the protagonist fobs off the antagonist, leading the antagonist to want to prove himself better than the protagonist from then on.
  4. Antagonist re-emerges the head of a tech company with a suave new look.
  5. Antagonist kidnaps protagonists girlfriend.

Good point in the fact that those who love it love it. Does not mean they are mindless just as it does not mean that those who hate it were "CB nerds" or just "didn't get it" or "don't know how to just enjoy a film"

That happens simply because it allows people to fit a straw man into their narrative. The debates over this film have already become as lazy as the writing. :lol

And that CBM article is no better or worse than the IGN one that defends the movie.

Eh. Not really. Regardless, something written with love is going to be more relaxed, and more coherent then something written in hate.

It's true. That article is god awful. I don't care if you love the movie, or hate the movie. It's just poor. It's a forum rant. If he sat down, and intelligently put his points down why the film was not good (Hint, when you call something garbage, you alienate the other side when you should let them come in, to see what you're saying. Two sides to every story) and here are the reasons, it would be taken a lot more seriously.
I may not agree. But I can at least understand.

Ok, just got back.

Let me start by saying if you have only seen this movie once and came out feeling conflicted. SEE IT AGAIN.

I absolutely had a blast with it this time around. Killian was a kick *** villain and Trevor was and now is the highlight of this movie for me. The action, dialogue, almost everything I really liked.

Better then the second IM, up there with the first.

The "twist" wasn't as important to me this time around because I already knew it was going to happen. Sure, I would still love to had seen the Mandarin be a real bad guy, but it didn't bother me that much this time around. I still think Marvel has something up their sleeves with this character (and Red Skull) for the next avengers flick.

Extremis doesn't bother me, didn't the first time around, I actually thought it was pretty cool to see something else then have somebody trying to steal Stark's tech.

Great movie, wish it would have taken some different choices, but I can't change that. If you just go in and roll with it, I think you'll enjoy it. Fanboy or not.

I wonder why Tony didn't just use his "auto pilot" feature to put the suit on Pepper to pick up the chick and him and just zoom away?
