Iron Man 3 Discussion Thread

You don't even have to go that in depth about it. Some of these guys heat up so much they explode. So one can breath fire...why so hard to believe?!

The only thing that made me go "hmmm...wait..." was the fact their clothes don't burn up.

But I've been reading comics for years, all of which have plenty of super heroes and villains with nigh invincible pieces of clothing...So it didn't bother me much

You're 100% wrong with this statement. I very much enjoyed the first two, have read several Iron Man Comics over the years, and I enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Yep. I'm a life-long Iron Man fan and I loved it. I thought it was great for the franchise. I wouldn't want every film to be this way, but coming off of IM2 and Avengers I thought it was a good next step.

IM1 is up there on my list, IM2 was fun and watchable, but IM3 is the freshest take on the U since the first.

I'm a fan of the first two and a long time fan of the comics (70s/80s) and really liked the third. I thought it was just as good as the other two and fit right in.

It's not a god damn race or contest.

And I say that as someone who thinks MoS will do gangbusters if it connects with the mainstream (that's the great unknown). In the end, how I feel about it has ****-all to do with IM3.

even if THE MAN OF STEEL makes 2$ at the box office I already know it is 1000000000000000000x the IRON MAN 3.

I think people just were pointing out that your definitive statement wasn't true.

As for Man of Steel - I'm CRAZY excited about it! I'd love it if it did just as well as Iron Man, though it won't. I hope it's really good, too. But I'm glad not all superhero movies have the same feel or intent.
