I really enjoyed it. Saw it twice. :dunno I thought it was a fresh take on the series. I only wish IP/WM would have had more action.

That's the hard thing with movies vs tv. When you have more than one character as the focus it's really hard to make everyone feel like they have a presence on screen due to how little time you have. I think that's particularly true of superheroes which is part of why Avengers is so impressive imo. It actually manages to do that and do it well with not just two but six heroes AND the SHIELD staff.

we can all go back and forth about how bad IM3 is or why IM3 sux or whatever but at the end of the day, the real winners of this discussion are the ones who actually enjoyed the movie

i asked all of my "Casual" friends who saw iron man 3 what they thought and they all loved it, its only 1/2 of the "hardcore" folks that hated it. but with licencing included marvel will make 1.25-1.5 billion easily, while people ***** marvel is countin their cash, if you didnt like it then move on folks

Have to agree. Who cares how much Marvel makes off it, if it sucks it sucks. I have no opinion on the movie itself as I'll be waiting for it to show up on VOD, but just seems like such a stupid argument to make. Maybe take your own advice, Mix, and move on if you don't like reading negative opinions on the movie. I like reading both, personally.

The point is that even though a few people here hated it, the majority if the world loved it and are showing it by giving marvel studios a huge payday. Because overall it was greatly successful (not just when you ask die hard comic fans) marvel studios will keep investing in making films of everyone's favorite comic book heroes which is great for everyone. If you dont like their films then you dont have to go see them. Complaining is pointless if you've already given them your money. Cash is boss. You want to show a company that you dont like their product you dont keep buying said product while complaining. You simply stop buying it.

Yeah but unfortunately I paid because I was mislead and so stoked after the awesomeness of avengers (I went opening night), Youre right though, protest with your wallet, unfortunately this means (for me) that I wont go opening weekend to see any marvel movies, i'll wait and even read spoilers now, and maybe save myself some money, too bad IM is gunna make its money cause it doesnt deserve it

Lol, yeah, just get tired of hearing that X person's opinion is invalid because Marvel will make a profit off Y movie.

I agree to a point, I mean it does make the movie a success technically but if I could get my money back I would, and for me that means it sucked, I see nicks point but youre right as well that its doesnt make anyone right or wrong on the overall quality of the film. especially since the way the studios line up and advertise films now they can basically herd people to theatres regardless, though IM3's success is riding on the coattails of avengers (which is unfortunate

I wonder if Hot Toys realizes that all they have to do to make all 35 suits is mix-n-match parts and basically repaint.

THIS THIS THIS, you took the thought directly from my brain. these films are not made to win oscars, they are made to make cash.

I dont want anyone to misunderstand me. Everyone is free to feel how they want about the film and express that. My point was just that it doesnt matter if a handful of comic fans are mad about the twist or the writing or whatever. All that matters to Marvel Studios is that the is making huge bank. That was their goal. They wanted to make a film that would make a lot of money. They dont intend for any of these films to be best picture of the year. Marvel Studios simply wants them to be entertaining enough to the general public to fill seats and that is exactly what they did.
