I don't care if people love, hate, loathe or are disgusted by the works I do, but at the end of it all, it's just nice when you get respect for doing what you've done.
I completely agree with you there. Believe me, I was immensely irritated by the misuse of my Luke picture that I referred to in my earlier post. But I realized that the Internet is a much more open place than we all would like to think, and that's why I've taken precautions via watermarking.
I strongly suggest that you begin watermarking your pics if you don't want them altered. After a few days or a week, these posts are going to be buried in the depths of this thread, and very few will remember your wishes. So either you'll have to keep posting that you don't want them altered or you'll have to make others unable to do so with a watermark.
Or you can just go with the flow and let others do these modifications. That is still an option, if you want to take it.

My reaction was immature and overheated, I just took offense that some felt I was a jerk for trying to be a respected artist because what I do doesn't happen in a flash.
I'm also happy to see that you can step back and see this. I think that will help put out the fires on those burning bridges.
Please feel free to continue posting your work if you'd like, but I hope you take my advice into serious consideration. It will prevent these incidents from recurring.

Jedi-bear never disrespected you; on the contrary, he praised your work!!! Next time express your concerns in a more friendly manner and let everyone know that your holy work should never be used.
And if we could let comments like that on this matter cool down, I think that would really help too. Let's not fan the embers here...

Maulfan, haven't you taken images from the Star Wars films and manipulated them on many occasions? How is that any different than what jedibear did?
It's no different. In fact, that's a more dangerous and tricky road for us Photoshoppers because it teeters more on copyright infringment.
Hey, guys, did I just turn into Josh (jlcmsu) with my multiple quoting?!?!?!? LOL
