A little late-- but here's my early Jabba set up (prior to stairs and walls) now that I've kit bashed a Leia...

The Hasbro head needs to be painted (as well as a tattoo on the left leg that the Dragon body had)... I don't mind the Gumbyish look as it'll do for now.

I can't remember who had this idea for the little guy to be tasting from Jabba's glass but I liked it.

I know--- horrible digital camera but you use what you've got. Trying to recreate the iconic pose when Jabba's sailbarge goes kablooey you can really tell that the Hasbro head needs to be painted...

I moved an old table upstairs to my office the day before Jabba arrived because after seeing all of your pictures I wanted him to dominate the collection--as he does... I can't wait to add to this scene-- having a diorama at the 12" scale with this detail is heaven to every collector.

That's an understatement. It might just be the best STAR WARS collectible item period.

That it is, I am still in awe everytime I come home from work and walk through my room and there he is, first thing I see, and a cooler sight I could not have waiting on my collection, he is just utterly fantastic. As for the new Leia images above, everyone has their tastes but that body looks eerily inhuman.

NIce pics Darth Neil. I am not to hot on that Leia body though... The bends you have here posed in look unnatural.

Other than, congrats on a owning a great piece. :clap

You\re 100% accurate... however this is my first attempt at any type of customizing so be gentle...She's by no means ideal---but since the Hasbro Leia and Dragon body arrived in the mail today from the magical land of E-bay I'd say it's not a bad first attempt for a novice...

Neil, its not bad for a first attempt. And at least now I know what I'm looking at when I get home on Friday. Leia's head should need just a shade darker skin. The one thing to work on is getting the bends of the body closer to where the actual joints would be.

Thanks. The pics were taken quickly to e-mail to a friend and also to try and figure out how to post regular size on here---- obviously I had some success.. finally.

Leia's head will need to be painted (and a bright pink tattoo on her left leg) but the Dragon body is good in that there are no joint exposure--- yes the body posturing needs to be fixed but for the moment she'll do.

The problem I encountered was just that her clothing was attached to the actual Hasbro body--- luckily the Dragon body I used had an undergarment that was perfect for glueing the "clothing" (is she even wearing any?) on.

I also didn't permanently attach the head (it's fixed but that's a little secret with the blue stuff you tack posters up with) so if I come across a better body I can remove everything and do another fig--- the evolution of slave Leia. Until SS brings one out I think we'll have to constantly play around with different possibilities...

Attached how to the body? This has me curious in that I may need to do some extra work.

All four parts of her "lower" outfit are glued into her Hasbro body. You need to peel them off and in some cases cut them with an exacto knife. The metal bra is removeable as are the wrist and arm band--- the boots slide off as well.

Ok then, no worse than I thought. See the orginal Prisoner Leia was the FAO exclusive and her lower outfit was done with elestic bands on the side. Apparently they didn't want little boys being perverts and getting Leia nude so they glued it this time.

Don't take my comment as anything regarding your ability to custom, I was just making a comment that the body itself just doesn't look good and I don't think anyone could make it work.

Sad day today... I boxed up my Jabba for shipment... :monkey2

Here's to you, Mighty Jabba... may you find more comfortable places in which to rest your fat ass..:duff:duff:duff

Don't worry--- I know that you're talking about the body itself. But as I mentioned in a previous post--- it's going to an evolution and tinkering until the best looking slave Leia can be found. For now I'm happy that the joints aren't visible a la SS body--- but if I find a better form I'll be happy to trade up from Gumby :lol

DA, did you have to give him away or are you having someone do work on him?
