Yes, Na'vi = sexy.

Felt like you visited another world. Dialogue could have been better but was in awe of CG the whole time.

The most emotional part for me was towards the end where it shows a scene with a navi and human interacting. I cant give anything away.

Shockingly Avatar isn't doing as well as studios expected opening to only $3 million midnight despite a record number of venues and higher cost Imax tickets. To put that into perspective New Moon made $26.3 off midnight showings. I know it doesn't have a built in following but they better hope this thing has some legs if it's going to break even. I predicted this to be the biggest movie of the year in a pool so it better get on it's horse. You guys got to see it about 50 more times will you!

With James Cameron's name on it and the budget they spent making it. I figured they'd spend just as much marketing so it would have, or had a shot to make it's money back.

I mean I agree, with James Cameron's name on it I would think or would LOVE for to be the highest grossing movie of the year but for some reason I just don't think that is going to happen. Although, my girlfriend saw it with me and said she "Loved it" and she really isn't a sci-fi fan at all so maybe there is hope for this film yet.

As much as I loved it, I doubt it makes its money back. This is only Day 1, though, so time will tell.

I have a feeling this will be one of the first 3-D Blu-ray titles. The specs have been finalized and the hardware/software is coming...

Hell yes. The My Bloody Valentine 3D Blu-ray release was rough...I got it very cheap but it was still pretty bad.

Most women do not care about this movie or a lot of regular everyday people. I asked a lot of people at work about it. Most either didn't know what I was talking about or said it looked like a dumb sci fi movie.

I was amazed! However, I'm not surprised. Oh well. They will have to hear about it on Monday. I leave in an hour and half to meet Prax and go see this ????!
